Great beer, I often stop in and pick up a growler of beer to take home. Some of there food is very imaginative and tasty but others are very bland and ordinary. Service is slow so don't get in a hurry. They have fixed up an old downtown building looks good but some work still needs to be done. Overall I will go back and enjoy.

Beer and food are great, but the service is very lacking. Poor service will run a place into the ground. Pick it up folks, want to see you stay around for a while.

Went to GSB last weekend. The beer is outstanding. Especially liked the GSB ESB.

Food was good. I had pulled pork. Sandwich was good but too much loose cabbage on it. Had salad with balsamic and it was pretty tasteless. We had a dip with jalapeno that was excellent. Restaurant relies local products including the meats.

Service was friendly and helpful.

Real beer enthusiasts will enjoy a stop at this fine brewpub.

Before I begin my typical review, as a member of the Shelton community I would like to say how pleased I am that our small growing community has a local brewery. It adds a level of distinction and culture to our town. Now that I have that out of my system, lets get down to the facts.

ATMOSPHERE
The Grove Street Brewery is in a building was a recognized portion of the downtown shelton cityscape. It was the Chrome horse Mortorcycle shop. After that it sat vacant for several years. They went for great lengths to preserve the building in its origional aesthetic. That being said, it would of been nice to see it classed up a little bit, and still preserve its historical context. Now, they ahve recently added a new sign, and some other things, so I am going to assume that it is a work in progress. The inside has been redone completly to give it a rustic irish pub/ Industrial feel. Its layout is a bit bizzare, but it seems to work. Everything is clean, and well kept.

FOOD/BEVERAGE.
An unfortunate aspect of this place is that they do not sever meals. They server beer and pub snacks. Overlooking that however, their pub food is delicious, and while a bit on the pricey side, the quality makes it a farily reasonable value.
The beer is terrific they have a great selection of in house brews as well as a selection of other good regional brews (including Mens Room Ale for you Washington natives)

SERVICE
The service is very hit or miss. If you are with a large party they seem to be fairly attentive and polite, but if you come in and sit at the bar I ahve had a range of service from very polite and attentive to Less attentive and almost grumpy. Sadly enought the more grumpy ones were the owners and managment. But for the most part the service averages out to OK.

VALUE
I feel for what they provide and teh quality of the beer and the atmosphere that their prices are right on track.

Excellent pub food. The salad was fresh, the potato salad wonderful, the beer good, and the burgers (especially the buns) were nicely done. If we lived in Shelton, we'd be regulars. Although the service could have been a tad more attentive.
