“Odd, but good.”
Reviewed October 1, 2011

Roosters is an odd little place, but it's not bad. It's next door to where we stayed which made easy access. I only say odd because of the gas station aspect of it. You could be waiting in line behind someone buying snacks. The menu is similar to a fast food place, but the prices are a bit higher. I ended up with the fish and chips and they were quite good. Most of the menu is burger or sandwich related. There are breakfast items as well. After ordering, there are plenty of tables to choose from. Roosters is a place that reminds you a little of some of these diners or truck stops you find on the travel shows, but on a smaller scale. And yes, there are pictures of roosters and other rooster items all over the dining room. Fun little place at decent prices.

“Bring the family”
Reviewed October 29, 2009

Roosters used to be called BurgerMaster. This place has been here at least since the early 80's (possibly late 70's). It is owned by the same family, but now the kids (who are now adults) are running it.

This spot is very popular for the grandparent's in this town. The location has it's ups and downs. It is on the busy part of town, near Wal-Mart and the local shopping scene, however, it is now attached to a small gas station, which seems a bit odd. If you don't want to traffic of people coming in and out for the gas staion, sit in the back garden window area. It's like a sun room (an addition put on a few years after being built).

There is paking on the side lot, and seems to be ample. Be careful if there have been recent heavy rains, the lot can flood slightly.

The food is good, for being attached to a gas station. The milk shakes are great. I like the chicken strip basket, though it is not fast food priced. I also like thevariety of hot tea's here. usually if you order frieds, you get plenty. We usually can't finish them all (and that is a good thing!). They have good soups and desserts!

The kids like to come here because the neat coloring mat's they have for them (and have since I was a kid).

There is a little back room that you can use if you need to (with a minuimum food purchase). I once held a birthday party for a 5 year old back here, and it was perfect for that. They let us decorate and move the table around, and we were not distracting the other resturaunt patrons with our party.

We love to support the local economy, and eating here supports the locals.
