For a town as small as Sequim, this is a wonderful place to get a great meal made from local products. Small place, but nice decor and welcoming hosts.

Probably one of the best dinners we have had, great wine list, the food was well presented and beyond excellent. Great service. Way above expectations. Beats Blondie's hands down.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night before 6 p.m. with no problem getting a table in the garden. The brew was excellent. The food was as good as others have reviewed. We shared a beet salad, which is somewhat misnamed as the beets were on top of a lovely bed of greens with goat cheese sprinkled throughout. It was a fantastic salad, side salad size or large - I could have eater the large alone & I'd never had sweet golden beets. Since we were on a budget we split a pizza - why when there are lovely dinners on offer? It was the best pizza I've ever had - bar none. We do salmon, chicken & steak at home, so why have it out. I'd definitely recommend Alder Wood Bistro despite the higher prices.

We tried to eat here our first night but hey are closed Sunday and Monday. We got in tonight (Tuesday) at 8:30 and the place was packed with a few minute wait for the table. The service was vey friendly, casual, professional and competent. The food was between very good and exceptional. Bread and hummus and calamari were very good, the pickled beet salad the preserved lemon chicken and the smokey pizza were exceptional.

I've been coming to Sequim regularly (from Seattle) for 30 years and, sadly, the chains are slowly taking over. Most restaurants like this don't survive long. This one has been around for several years and always makes me happy. The outside seating is wonderful, surrounded by their herb garden. The food is seasonal and largely local.

Their fries are amazing if far from healthy and the pizza is solid. I have tried their fresh fish and their meatloaf. The fish is always top-quality, fresh and well-prepared. The meatloaf is very good though not off the charts special.

They offer a gluten-free crust but it is not baked fresh so stick with the regular unless you need it. Wine and beer list good. House Pinot Gris is very respectable though they have some really yummy and more expensive wines on offer.

Kids menu is good at $7 a dish - nothing frozen I am pretty sure. Fries or veg will cost an extra $4.

Dinner for 4 with half carafe of the house white was $125 with tip. If you like fresh and local, this is the place to go in Sequim. Sit outside if possible.
