We were not impressed. The server was very nice but very incompetent. My husband had to ask for more coffee and was told they were brewing another pot. Excuse me?? They should have a pot of coffee available at all times. 15 minutes later the waiter never returned so, once again, we had to ask for the coffee. The food was nothing special. We'll not return.

We overheard locals discussing Krush favorably while we visited Sequim for a "First Friday" Art Walk and decided to give it a go. The location is not remarkable - at the end of a small, newer strip mall, but it is easy to find off the major N-S arterial through town. We were a party of three visiting from Port Orchard, WA, and Portland, OR (with its 3,000 restaurant listings on TA). Every dining table was filled when we arrived at 6:30 PM, but the place has very comfortable lounge seating in the middle of the dining area to wait with a drink. Our wait was about 10 minutes.

The décor is a mix of simple high-contrast black tile / black ceiling and natural woods and concrete with highlights of red glass drop lights and art works. It may not appeal to all in this somewhat rural setting a couple of hours' drive from Seattle, but the atmosphere evokes a sense of a quality place. There is some eclecticism as well with a traditional glass shade chandelier hanging over the bay where live music was performed.

Our party was quickly impressed with the service staff. Three staff quickly worked to clean the table that waited for us, and that cleaning included a disinfecting cleaner on table AND seats (the owner / manager may have read one of the other reviews?). The frequent, friendly and attentive service continued throughout our dinner. I noted that all tables were similarly served by the large staff, and every employee seemed to move fast and stay fully engaged with their duties.

Our Portland host ordered one small plate - Steak Bites - for our appetizer while we waited, and although it wouldn't have been my choice, boy was it a delicious surprise and fully adequate for three! The bites were served on spinach and covered in a savory white sauce with mild onion slices. Terrific. Our dinner orders were a Wedge Salad and two Fish and Chips. Again, the latter brought another big surprise. Three large pieces of crispy-battered salmon, two Krush Puppies, and a large serving of fries. The fish was outstanding and the meal almost too much to finish. $14! This meal would have been 50% more in Seattle. The salad was a similarly satisfying meal. Near the end of dinner, we spotted one of the burger meals that another reviewer mentions. It was hard to miss - these burgers are huge! They are served with a steak knife impaled through the center . . . a necessity for this menu item.

The Old Sidekickers seniors blue-grass band was performing when we arrived, and the local "veteran" performers entertained three generations of customers during the evening. They said that it was their first performance at Krush and hoped to return. Since this was a Friday, live music may be typical, but your mileage may vary.

Our varied drinks were on par with the excellent dinners. The bar poured a British lemonade / beer concoction that our host introduced to the establishment and shook up a great gin martini for me. With 16 draft beers, my wife found a favorite and later enjoyed her white wine. No misses at the bar. (BTW, if you are trying to keep up with Seattle sports during dinner, there are two large flat-panels between the shelves in the bar.)

One final observation: although the location is in a strip mall, the restaurant has full-height, storefront windows along both facades that face the intersecting streets. Through these windows, guests enjoy views to the neighborhood and the foothills of the Olympic Mountains! The high ceilings and great expanse of glass make the premises feel very open and help off-set the darkness of the décor. At night, I'm sure the space reverses character and feels quite intimate, but we'll have to return to find out.

Restaurants are largely measured by food, service, atmosphere, and value - Krush checks off all the boxes at the high end. This all starts at the top with the owner / manager's oversight, direction, and staff training. This commitment to high performance is highly evident at Krush.

The food was good and the service was great, but the dining area was warehouse like, which isn't to our taste. They have a large selection of beer, which looked interesting, but we didn't indulge. The menu is very limited and is more of a bar than a restaurant.

Could use some attention to the detail... Ie a clean seat is just important as a clean table. That being said don't leave without trying the Krush Puppies. The Caesar was nothing special and I hate when a crouton isn't crunchy. Ill give it another try another day... Good luck to you!

My husband and I stopped in on mothers day for lunch. Yay! The atmosphere was great, the bar had excellent drink choices and some local micro brews. The menu is limited but everything we tried was a homerun. We decided to just order some appetizers so we split the sliders, the krush-puppies, and the Angus beef wontons. We definitely want to go back and try the huge burgers we saw going to other tables.
