We had a very nice stay at what turned out to be an excellent HIEX. The staff was friendly and efficient checking us in and out and providing local information and directions. Our room, with two comfy queen beds, was clean, as was the bathroom, and while not huge, was big enough for the four of us with all of our gear for a two week trip to be comfortable. The room had a flat panel TV, coffeemaker, microwave, mini-fridge and fast, reliable complimentary Wi-Fi. The hotel also offers complimentary parking and a hot breakfast that was good enough that we felt no need to go elsewhere; the Black Bear Diner next door was a convenient family friendly option for dinner after returning from a long day exploring. The fitness room and especially the pool are really nice and what was unique and special for a HIEX was the roof top garden which was an excellent place to relax and watch the sun set. The room rate seemed a bit high but it turned out to be on the lower end for hotels in the area for our August stay during the prime tourist season for the region.

This hotel is definately in the middle of nowhere, but it is very nice. They have an awesome balcony which is fun on warm nights. The breakfast was very good and the room was kept in very good condition. Id strongly recommend this place.

Great for families hotel is clean. Pool is nice and they have child size life vests available. Friendly service and it has a restaurant across the parking lot. Continental breakfast was 'meh'. But we would stay there again.

We stayed here over a Sat-Sun-Mon right before Christmas. The hotel and the people are lovely. The Wi-Fi is very good and the included breakfast, while limited, was enough that we were able to skip lunch. In room coffee, micro and fridge are much appreciated.

However, the construction of this facility leaves MUCH to be desired. It was wonderful when we had no neighbors (one night), but on the two nights that the front desk put someone next to us, we heard every word, cough, door slam, and step through the thin walls and shaky floors! Thank goodness we were on the top floor--I would hate to have heard all that from both sides AND above! The one thing we did not hear that we typically do is plumbing noises--these were non-existent.

The front desk should be advised to leave AT LEAST one room in between guests if the hotel is not full. There were many empty parking places, so I'm not sure why we were surrounded by others--we didn't need to be. Also, families with kids can be placed next to families with kids and couples can be placed near couples. This would never happen in a "big" hotel, but in a small place like this, it would really make a difference.

I am sorry to hear you had loud noises near your room. We do our best to ensure all of our guests have a quiet room, please be sure to let our front desk know if you have any issues! I hope you will give us another chance.

Big smiles, an upgrade for our anniversary, a cozy, comfortable room with a great bed and a wonderful breakfast room with a yummy breakfast! Big bright swimming pool and hot spa, too. And the towels were fluffly and big.

We liked this hotel.

It was raining in Sequim in early December, but we wanted to walk to water. We headed up the bike path across the street for about three miles through the woods, and over a huge wooden trestle, to lovely little John Wayne Marina, where there is a nice Dockside Grill for hot drinks, and lots of boats to look at. Then we looped back around (fewer hills) and walked back to the hotel for a soak in the spa.

Lots of eatery choices in the little town, plus abundant supply shopping (and gift shops). There is a Costco, a Walmart and a nifty 24-hour mart on S'Kallam Indian reservation, just north of the casino, is which is a couple miles north of the hotel.

Finally, we drove out to Dungeness Spit, an amazing several mile spit out into the bay with a lighthouse at the end -- but it was pouring rain, so we just looked!
