Friendly, gracious and helpful staff (which also happen to be the owners). Setting is heavenly with views of the Strait (binoculars in room were nice to watch boats, birds, lighthouse, deer, etc. Room was clean upon arrival and staff were most informative regarding area attractions, stores, restaurants, tide tables, internet service. I have already recommended to friends and family. Hope to return in near future. Beautiful setting to feed one's spirit.

Room Tip: Would recommend the Fireplace Room. Lovely fire in addition to beautiful view, quiet and smell of...

There was not a single drawer in the room so we had to live out of our suitcases. There was a clothes rack but only 2 hangers. There was a very large futon that took up most of the space other than the bed so we felt very cramped. It was very clean but a long way from anywhere.

We stayed just one night at Cabin #2. It was fully equipped with stuff for cooking. The view out front was unbelievable. We could see the Strait, Ships, Sunset, Wow. We also saw two Bald Eagles.

The room was very nice (about 300Sqft). The only complaint was the shower height. I'm only 5'8" and had to not hit my head on the box for a skylight. I love the idea of a skylight above the tub but be careful. The other cabins may not have that issue. ASK.

The cottage manager was very helpful and nice. Her son, Matt, was also great. Felt like family. The room was $215 for one night which we wish was just below $200. It may have been if we stayed longer!

The location of this place is near so much including the Dungeness Spit. In fact you can see it. We had coffee (provided by cottage) on big rocking chair on lawn. We also had wine (we provided ourselves) on comfortable seats in front of cabin and watched the boats on the Strait.

Room Tip: Ask for Cabin 1, 2, 3, 4 for great views. The others might be a little more distant from views.

We really enjoyed the location of these cottages, close to the lighthouse walk along the spit, the bike trail to Port Angeles and the 7 Cedars golf course. Lots to do. We had a Groupon rate and stayed in June so we were very happy with the large room, ocean view, and double soaker tub. I am not sure what full price is but I think it can get up there. The inn keeper gave personal service and advice much like you would receive at a bed and breakfast. The rooms are clean. beds are good and the decor is 1980s. It has the feel of a family cabin. Very comfortable. If it rains and you are paying full price you may not feel the charm. We will be back.

These are very nice, very gracious people. Beautiful setting overlooking the Strait and behind, the Olympic Mountains. Cottages are cute (sometimes cramped) but packed with amenities. However, while we would like to return, I can't say that we would. We ended up sleeping on the couch because the bed was shot; worn out and so soft, we were miserable. There were other problems that were minor (cleaning), but the bottom line; I'd like to see people continue to visit, just replace the bed and pay more attention to detail. If they do that, I could give them a 5 point rating.

Dear Newsdigger -

Wow! That is just awful about the bed! We have new beds in new units or replaced all of the beds in existing units in the last two years except two. Could you please let me know which unit you were in so we can check it out? Especially since the two beds not replaced yet do not have couches in them - it makes me very concerned. I have not heard any other reports but I want to find out what is wrong asap. Thank you for your help with this. I also appreciate your comment about attention to details - I will discuss this review with our housekeeping staff so they can be aware. So glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay and do hope you try visiting us again. Sincerely, Missy - owner

We booked our room through Groupon, which gave us a better deal. The only disappointment was that our Jacuzzi tub jets did not work. I would have liked that we would have been told upon checking in, or at least been given some sort of other option at check out. This was the main reason we selected this cabin. Otherwise, our stay was great. With our 'package deal' we were given a breakfast. Just a thought for the owners or anyone that orders the breakfast, if you have food allergies, make them known! Otherwise, you get what is brought to you for your meal. The meal is GREAT, more than 2 people can eat for sure! And, the staff is very helpful with local information and directions, including maps of the area and restaurant suggestions.

Room Tip: View the rooms on their website to get a good idea of how they look. We had one of the larger rooms...

HI Tammie -
Gosh - I sure wish you had spoken up while you were here and we could have shown you how to use the tub. None of the tubs have any issues with the jets not working. No one has reported any either. We did have one phone call last month with someone having trouble getting them going and we came right down and showed them how to use them. Could you please let us know which room you had so we can further follow up on this? I know some people don't like to bother us after hours - but honestly - that is what we would prefer. That way we can fix any problem while you are there and you can enjoy your vacation fully. So glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay and that the office help was helpful for you.

The cottages are absolutely adorable and very, very comfortable. We felt very relaxed and secluded. The beds were unexpectedly very comfortable; I slept like a rock. We didn't get to meet Missy, but Tom was very gracious and warm. We felt very welcomed right from the start. He was very helpful with information about the area as far as where to eat and what to expect at the different attractions. Really great stay and looking forward to going back when we can stay longer.
