A short drive in from the main road past the hunting dog pens and the horses brings you into the world of "Mr. Bond". The adventure begins.
We stayed in one of the many onsite buildings. Four of us in two bedrooms. "The Kids" (young adults) stayed in another of the buildings and they loved it.
Being converted barns( how neat was this!!), the bedrooms were small but more than adequate. The great room in our building was spacious with plenty of tables and chairs and a more than adequate gas heater. The main (much more than adequate) and alternate bathrooms are in separate small buildings, and it worked out just fine. The breakfast was the best we've had at a B&B in quite a while.
Horse shoes at twilight and a big log campfire included swapping enjoyable stories with Morris and Tess while roasting and eating marshmallows. Adult beverages were permitted.
It's a bit different from the typical "old house" with character B&B, but it's great. You'll have the chance to meet a "real" local outdoorsman, logger, hunter "Mr Bond" and "Tess" the wonderful hostess, who is a real "bon vivant".
If we have the opportunity to travel from Florida to the Olympic Peninsula again, we have the Bond Ranch at the top of the list.

We just came back from a several day trip along the Washington Coast. Our first stay, and definitely best, was the Bond Ranch Retreat.
Tess and Morris are such great hosts that one does not want to leave. The rooms are small but you have everything you need. Traveling with 6 adults we had two rooms next to each other and one on the 2nd floor in an adjacent building. There is a shared outside spa like bathroom some steps away from the rooms which was not a problem at all.
There is also a big common room with everything including a refrigerator filled with drinking water for your convenience. A gas heater makes it nice and cozy.
Tess will serve a very delicious and big breakfast with all the fixings including fresh fruit and bagels with cream cheese, very delicious different butter spreads and hot and cold beverages as well.
A real treat was playing the horse shoes, sitting around a big bonfire at night and listening to the stories everyone had to tell.
All in all you are in for a real treat in this Retreat! This is like home away from home.

Bond Ranch Retreat is a gem, and we really cannot recommend it highly enough. First, it's in a beautiful setting, just outside of Sequim, providing a perfect spot for spending many days, or just one night on the way deeper into the Olympic Peninsula. Second, the lodging and grounds are in incredible condition and done in great taste, with a very rural feel, but luxurious at the same time. Third, Tess and Morris are great hosts. Tess is the main point of contact, and was just wonderful all the time, and Morris was great to sit around the fire with, hearing epic tales of his old logging days. Fourth, the rooms are VERY reasonably priced. They're rather small, but done very well. We can't wait until our next visit.
