This place served its purpose for a one night stay. The owner seemed very nice. The room was in the back of the hotel so maybe a little more quiet than the front. I would have liked to have had a chair to sit outside and read. However, overall the room was large and seemed very clean. One problem was the stains in the carpet. Possibly a leftover from a pet?

My husband and I stayed here on our way to lake crescent. The room was clean and had all the basic amenities. It was nothing fancy but it served its purpose. We arrived after 11:00 pm so we had to ring the doorbell at the front office. The man who checked us in had probably been asleep...so he wasn’t very talkative. He checked us in and then told us that we had to drive up the hill to the last building to find our room. We had never been there before and it was late at night...but after exploring a back alley and finding our way through the property, we located our room on the second floor. The entry is from the outside and there was no elevator. I believe most second floor rooms have a balcony. The picture I included in this review is the view we had from ours.

The location is perfect and the staff went the extra mile for our family. We were here for a week and will definitely be back! The rooms were clean, the breakfast was awesome and the staff were kind and courteous! This is far better than anything in the city. The views, the pool, the hiking trails were all perfect! Thanks SBL.

Room Tip: choose a room in the front, nice access!

We stayed at this hotel on a vacation after reading a positive review of recent changes with new management. However, we saw no positive changes at this dated hotel in need of much work. We have no issue with an older hotel, but this one is on the run-down side and in desperate need of thorough cleaning. The surface appeared clean, but looking further, the bathroom corners were filthy, baseboards caked in dust, food and “stuff” were visible behind and under furniture, hair on the sheets and pillowcase, grease stains on bathroom door, etc. The owners were very pleasant and provided a simple but sufficient breakfast. This hotel isn’t terrible, but just be aware of what expectations to have when booking.

This is a very old hotel and does not seem to have kept up on renovations and improvements - very out dated accommodations, but......the price was lower than the other hotels in the area. On the plus side, there is a shuttle to the casino!
