My husband and I stayed at Sequim Bay Lodge for a couple nights for a quick get-away trip and we fell in love with the property there. The garden they had was full of beautiful flowers and we felt at peace upon arrival. The employees were professional and extremely courteous there. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for beautiful scenery and great customer service.

First this lodge is not in view of Sequim Bay. Its redeeming quality is that it is near the Native American Casino just down the road.

There were three couples in our group and three ground level rooms were requested, but we could only get two. The hotel was not full and there was no effort to accommodate our request.

This is a tired property, with only about half of it open. The continental breakfast is pretty marginal. And, the front desk help was marginally helpful with recommendations for dinner. The weather was nice during our stay, but the swimming pool was not open even for sitting and reading. The property is on a hilly location and it is quite a trek from the back of the property (where we were located) to the front desk.

The WiFi connection was very good. The Lavender Festival was on the weekend after we were there in mid-week; I hope festival visitors had more sense than we did.

  • Liked — They did have our reservation.
  • Disliked — It is a very tired property; newer properties in the area will do this one in.

The Sequim Bay Lodge is not the Hilton or the Ritz, but I found the rooms to be clean, spacious and comfortable. A 1 bedroom suite for $ 110 was quite reasonable.

The front desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful. The lodge runs a shutlle to the 7-Cedars Casino, 2 miles away.

The lodge offers a swimming pool and jacuzzi suites. Nearly every room has an outdoor balcony. Pets are allowed in some rooms.

Overall, I would stay here again, especially if I was going to the casino.

We drove up to the Sequim Bay Lodge during a completely-unplanned vacation trip (no reservations for seven days - it was an adventure making sure we had a roof over our heads!), after having the "No Vacancy" signs lighting our way down the highway. Not only did they have a room available (their last one), but they made special accommodations for us. We had late check-out, they gave us a bottle-opener and glasses so we could have a family party, and could not do enough for us. Very clean, staff was cheerful and helpful. I would definitely stay again!

  • Liked — Convenience, cleanliness, customer service
  • Disliked — Was not an exciting destination hotel (but that was not what we were looking for)

Our bird watching tour group stayed here for three nights in mid July 2006. My wife and I found the lodge, and rooms, clean and comfortable. The surrounding woods were a good setting for early morning bird watching before we left for the day. The only drawback we found was that the retaurant/lounge on the property was closed. We left our camera battery charger there and called to have it mailed to us. The charger arrived at our home within 5 days of our call to the lodge which is excellent service in my mind.

  • Liked — Clean, comfortable, and quiet room.
  • Disliked — Restaurant/lounge was closed

We decided to go to Lavender Festival on a whim one week before the event. We were not sure if we would be able to get a room any place in Sequim. We called around and Sequim Bay Lodge was suggested. The girl that took our reservations said that they would not be able to accomodate us on Saturday, but told me that she would find a way that we could stay both nights. Within ten minutes she had called us back with good news! She was able to squeeze us in and even gave us a more expensive room for our originally quoted lesser price! When we got there, check-in was quick and easy. We loved the seclusion of the woods around the lodge and it seemed quieter since it wasn't in the city. Now only if they could perform the miracle of fixing traffic on that weekend...
