Fairfield Inn Seattle Sea-Tac Airport
Ranked #15 of 35 Hotels in SeaTac
Reviewed October 20, 2012

This hotel is part of the Marriotte chain of hotels. It has the same standards of cleanleness, hospitality, friendliness just to name a few attributes for this hotel. It is a business hotel, although my husband and i stayed while venturing into Seattle for our stay at this hotel.

Fairfield was great in offering their shuttle service to the Sae Tac Airport to take us to our transit into the cit of Seattle for the day. That evening upon our arrival back to the airport, Fairfield's airport shuttle service picked us up to return back to our hotel. We never used our car at all during our stay. The hotel also offers shuttle service to a few restaurants in the area free of charge making it easy to not rent a car should you be on buisiness for a few short days.

The location is just a few blocks from the rental car return, making this a great location for early morning flights to catch.

Did I mention the continental breakfast? Up to the Marriotte standards of course. A full array of breakfast foods including the breakfast sanwhiches that will keep you full for the morning. I love marriottes breakfasts. I shamefully grab a raisin/cinnamon bagel as I leave the breakfast room for a snack during the day.

The lobby is very large with computers and general greeting area if you are expecting guests. Front desk staff very informative about the area and Seattle with the insider tips. Rooms are typical of the Marriotte chain, just a little smaller.

Thank you so much for your comments. I am glad you made use of our shuttle service to area restaurants, and to catch the Link Light Rail into downtown. I also appreciate your compliments about our breakfast service, and am pleased to inform you that Fairfield Inn will be expanding their breakfast in the coming year to provide even more hot items and variety. We hope you will be able to return to experience it!

The Fairfield Inn at the Seatac Airport is a well appointed hotel. We added to our reservation extra comfy pillows, and they did not disappoint us - it was an extremely comfortable sleep. The room itself was reasonable size, and typical for airport "express" type hotels, the decor seemed a little aged, but everything was in good working order, clean and tidy.

We spent some time in the indoor heated pool/fitness area, and it was decent, clean and a well lit indoor area - the bad thing is that the ceiling above the pool started to leak. The best thing about this hotel is the shuttle service, the front desk was very helpful in pointing out local places to eat, and the shuttle will take you directly there and then back to the hotel. The hotel also featured an awesome complimentary breakfast, lots of fruits, breakfast sandwhiches, yougurt, homemade waffles, you name it.. Overall this hotel was a bit of a pleasant surprise, a good value and excellent stay extremely close to the airport makes up for its dated decor.

Room Tip: Ask for extra pillows!

Thank you for taking the time to review our property, and I appreciate your compliments to our front desk staff and shuttle drivers. We will be closing our pool area for a few days at the end of the month to repair the issue you mentioned, and I hope you will be able to return to see the improvement. Thank you once again!

We stayed for 3 nights at beginning of Sept before flying off to China, then again one night at the end of China trip and before returning home. It is a typical Fairfield, but there is a refrigerator and microwave in each and every room. Sometimes you have to fight to get just a fridge. The best part is that the airport shuttle will take you to local restaurants. That makes it very convenient if you are just flying in and out and do not rent a car. I always prefer Marriott properties as there are few surprises. This time the surprise was good!

I am so glad you appreciated the refrigerator and microwave that we do feature in every room, as well as our complimentary shuttle service to area restaurants. Our front desk staff can also provide you with a list of these restaurants, offer several recommendations, and provide sample menus for many of the options. Thank you for your comments, and we hope to accommodate you again the next time you are in the area.

Nice facility, pleasant employees, timely airport shuttle service, perfectly fine stay. I don't have anymore to say about this Fairfield, but there's a 200 character minimum so I'll repeat what I just said and hope it's enough. A girlfriend and I recently stayed in this hotel for a weekend getaway. Although we weren't in our room that often, it met our needs: safe, clean, quiet, and had a breakfast. We are not huge breakfast eaters as is, but wanted something to eat, this place had the typical continental breakfast foods: waffles, yogurt, muffins, cereal, small fruit selection, juice, milk, water, etc. it was always stocked when we went down there. There is not much to eat or do right around this hotel, not that that has anything to do with the hotel, but if you're looking for nearby restaurants, the pickings around this hotel are slim. It was very easy to get to the airport and interstate from here. To get to downtown Seattle took us about 20 min in regular traffic, and 30-35 min in morning rush hour.

Overall, this is a great place to stay. The staff that we encountered throughout our stay were very nice, always said hi and asked how we were doing. Would recommend this hotel for something more reasonable in price compared to downtown, if you don't mind the short drive.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and hope you return! Our shuttle can provide transportation to and from several dining options within a one-mile radius, including major chain restaurants as well as a few local eateries. We also provide transportation to the airport where you can board the Link Light Rail, which will take you into the downtown area at a very reasonable price. Our front desk staff is happy to make these arrangements for you upon request.

overnited to catch an early flight. typical fairfield quality, ok staff. strange room config. the closet is so close to the door that a hangar sticking out stops the door from opening/closing. sink situated after the closet outside of the bathroom across the pathway too. good internet, good selection of tv channels. elevator was clunky in need of repair. breakfast was lacking items from other fairfield properties but still a great deal. still not satisfied with the value. price was little high for the property setting, location and amenities. also, hallway smelled of smoke and the room had tinges of the smell as well.
on the plus side, near to freeway (about a mile from i5) on major road south of Seatac airport. Lots of gas and eating locations nearby.
Was talked out of using their 'free' shuttle service to the airport and instead recommended to keep my car overnite and return the car in the morning. still not sure if this makes any sense?.

Thank you very much for your feedback, and I will be certain to share your comments with our management team as we are always looking for ways to improve our guests’ experience. We are a 100% non-smoking property, so I do hope you informed us of the smoke smell so that we could take appropriate action. Our shuttle service does run 24 hours for pick-ups from the airport as well as anywhere within a one-mile radius. Occasionally, depending on flight times and anticipated wait times at the airport, many guests prefer to return their vehicle on the way to their flight rather than the night before. However, we are always happy to accommodate our guests’ transportation needs either way.

Stayed here in August 2012 the night before a flight home to the east coast. It's only about two miles from the rental car return center and the front of the SeaTac Airport. There are numerous gas stations near the hotel, too, so you can fill-up the rental car the night before easily, in case you didn't buy the stupid pre-paid plan. The hotel is clean, the breakfast is typical of Fairfield, but nice---and it starts very early, something like 5:30am I think! I thought the staffers at the front desk were pretty cheery and pleasant for a standard airport hotel. The room was clean. Rooms are pretty quiet, despite being within view of the airport runway! The main road outside the hotel is perpendicular to the end of the hotel, so most rooms are far away from traffic, although over-looking a parking lot between this place and the next hotel, so maybe a higher floor is better to avoid slamming car doors, etc. We were on 4 and had no issues.

Room Tip: rooms are pretty quiet, despite being within view of the airport runway, but maybe ask for a higher...

Our complimentary continental breakfast is available from 5:00am to 9:00am Mondays through Fridays, and 6:00am to 10:00am Saturdays and Sundays. Many guests do not experience much noise from the parking lot, but we are always happy to accommodate requests for higher floor rooms or rooms facing away from the lot, based upon our availability. It is always best to phone the hotel directly prior to arriving so that we may personally handle these requests. Thank you for taking the time to review our property, and we hope to see you again.
