“Nice but shuttle slow”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2011

This is a good place to stay if you need an airport hotel in Seattle. My room was clean and the employees were friendly. I had to wait rather a long time for the airport shutlle to pick me up at the airport --- about 25 minutes which I thought was too long as they were not busy at all at that time. I had no problems on my return trip to the airport --- you make a reservation in advance and we left right on time.

I booked at the Sleep Inn because of the great reviews on this website and the price. The room was OK. The airconditioner was really loud. There is only one person working in the hotel after 11 pm (besides the shuttle driver) - we checked in right during the shift change and the others flew out leaving us standing there while they gave all their directions to the young woman who worked the night shift. She was working really hard but the phone was going crazy and we were not the only people checking in. She was also the only person when we checked out- again the phones were ringing like crazy at 5 am. Breakfast was pretty standard. Even a gluten free person like me found something to eat.

We had to change rooms because we addded a night and we couldn't get the same room for 2 nights. We left our stuff in the office. We didn't get any kind of receipt or ticket and there was a different person behind the desk when we came back, which made us a little uncomfortable. Our stuff was fine. This is a 2 to 2 1/2 star hotel and that is what you should expect.

I never stay at another hotel when I travel out of SEA-TAC in Seattle. Just recently they were full & I stayed at another "big name" hotel, it was much more expensive, dirty, no breakfast, one very slow elevator & I waited 45min. to be taken to the airport. This will never happen at the Sleep Inn, the rooms are big, very , very clean, the shuttle is excellent & the drivers are the best. Also the breakfast is very good & if your flight is real early they usually set it up so you can have something to eat before you go.

People- this is a sleep inn not a 5 star hotel. But being a sleep in, they are very good at what they do. Rooms are smaller, again its a sleep in, but they are clean. They offer a breakfest with longer then normal hours to accomadate early morning travelers that includes waffles, biscuits in gravy and eggs There is an Ihop in the parking lot if you do not like what they offer. Again, you have choices that are convienant. If you are a resonable person that understands value in what you pay, this hotel is excellent. If you want a BMW at a price of a saturn then you will be disapointed.

It's nice that the hotel offers a free shuttle from SeaTac, but the problem with the shuttle is that a bunch of guests arrive all at the same time at the front desk, and all of us want to get to bed asap (we checked in at 10 pm)...I got inside to check in and there were 2 in line already. The second person was a man who did not have a reservation and basically the employee started from scratch with him, while those of us with reservations (who she knew were already on our way into the hotel) had to wait. Luckily, the shuttle driver stepped up to the desk to help. I really think this man should have waited while those with reservations checked in.
I had requested connecting rooms many weeks in adnvance of our stay, and the response I got was that it is just a request. At least the two rooms were across the hall from each other. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and the air conditioner worked very well.
The free breakfast the next morning had a decent selection - hard boiled eggs, toast, make-your-own waffles, cereals.
I had called for a cab after we checked in, to arrive at 6:45 am since we had to catch the 7:40 Amtrak. I was a little worried that the cab would show up on time, and mentioned this to the woman at the front desk as I was settling our bill. She immediately called the company to make sure the driver was coming, and assured me he was just minutes away.
Overall, this hotel is clean and has everything you need for a quick stay, with friendly staff.

We chose this hotel because we had a late evening arrival into Seattle airport and this hotel had free shuttle service, which arrived promptly. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom area. Room provided enough space for a king bed, table, chairs, dresser with TV. The sink was outside the commode/shower area which made it convenient when one wanted to style hair and the other wanted to shower.

We loved the positioning of two computers (one hooked to a printer) in the lobby for guest use. Makes it convenient to print boarding passes and keep up with email. We also noticed a small room with a treadmill and bicycle machine.

Breakfast buffet opened early and included make-your-own waffles, several cereals, fruits, pastries, several juices and other beverages. It wasn't the best complimentary breakfast but it wasn't the worst either! There is an IHOP right next door if you prefer.

The staff at this hotel has to be recommended for their helpfulness. They made reservations for us to the cruise ship terminal with Seattle Express (----------); known to be the least expensive shuttle at $12.00 per person (one way). They also told us about several good tours in the area. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
