Reviewed October 20, 2011

Stayed with 45 other folks for our company sales meeting..
Pros : The best equiped hotel gym I've seen in months. Comfortable rooms. Polite service
Nice meeting rooms in the conference center. Good for a conference or sales meeting.

Cons : This place is huge. Its a long walk from the front of the hotel to the conference center in the back of the hotel and easy to get lost as they are not big on signage.
Restaurant is overly expensive. I must say the food quality was excellent with fresh steaks and Alaskan seafood, but doesnt justify New York prices.

Room Tip: Try to get a room close to the front of the hotel. If youre in the back its a long walk to the gym...

Stayed here twice in October (beginning and end of trip). I have travelled to Seattle many times on business and either stay at the DOubletree close to SEA-TAC or in downtown Seattle. This was my first time at the Hilton. The hotel is close enough to walk to from the terminal but they do offer a shuttle service three times an hour. Each time I needed the shuttle it was there to pick me up within 5 minutes.

Reception check-in was very quick and the service was great. This is not a high rise hotel (only 4 floors) so it is very spread out and can take a while to walk from one end to the other, especially if you self park. Rooms were very standard for Hilton and clean. I'll look to stay here on my next trip to Seattle, especially for late arriving flight or an early departure.

Room Tip: Ask for a Courtyard room to avoid noise from street.

There are many Hilton branded hotels close to Sea-Tac and even more within a short driving distance. Having stayed at one time or another at pretty much all of them, the Hilton Sea-Tac is probably the best of the lot if for no other reason than it is located literally across the street from the airport.

Access is fairly easy although parking can be a chore unless you're willing to pay for valet parking (and even if you "self park" in the garage behind the hotel, you will pay a stiff daily charge). The lobby is large with a Starbucks and the Spencers steakhouse in the area.

Check-in took just a minute and the desk staff were professional yet personable. While some rooms are a fair walk from the lobby area, my room was close to the elevators located just across from the check-in desk. The room itself was average size and was in all respects updated and very clean from the bedding (duvet) to the bath and shower.

Surprisingly for being so near the airport there was virtually no noise (from the airport) and little noise from the hallway.

The one surprise was the so-called "business center" which is essentially a closet with two internet equipped PC's located at the far end of the lobby near the large meeting rooms.

To sum up, this Hilton has been updated and is well-maintained. Rooms are a reasonable value given the convenience of the hotel's location (the hotel offers both a shuttle bus as well as "park and fly" packages). Rooms are of an average size but nicely furnished and kept clean - particularly the bedding. Having stayed at this Hilton a number of times I can recommend it to you, especially if you are transiting through Sea-Tac before or after an international flight - the hotel offers reasonable "day use" rates.

Room Tip: Ask for room near elevator nearest lobby elevator

The hotel looks real sophisticated on the outside and lobby. The staff are good. The room was a good size but everytime the person above you flushes or uses the bath/shower it sounds like a sonic boom in your room. Waking up at 5 am instead of 7 was not fun!! For HHonors members there is no executive lounge and they give you a continental b'fast coupon that can double as $8 off a meal. Probably will not stay here again.
I ate in the restaurant (Spencer's I think) the food was good but expensive and the restaurant was empty.

Room Tip: Try the top floor- maybe less noisy

I was a little leary of booking through hotwire.com , only because you don't know the Hotel Name beforehand. I booked through hotwire.com and to my surprise was booked at the hilton seattle airport & conference center. i had been looking on their website and wasn't particularly enthused with paying $200.00 a night. I payed 99.86 with all taxes on hotwire.com. The hotel is a very great location if you are flying out of SEATAC. The shuttle comes 3 times an hour which is great. The drivers were very courteous and attentative. Upon arrival check in was very quick , and with great customer service. The lady at the desk was very helpful. The room was great! It had a little patio our into the courtyard which had the pool. The room was very big. VERY clean , I am a housekeeper and I am so picky , but it was great! Overall a great experience. I didn't eat or drink as I brought my own food into the room. Room service was pretty much the same price as any other hotel. LOW noise for an airport/convention hotel. I didn't hear a peep all night. I would definately stay here again!

Booked a room for a one night layover on my way home from Asia and apparently the hotel was hosting an annual Furry convention, so there were lots of young people dressed in costumes. All in all it was a decent Hilton – comfortable room and decent service. The staff was friendly and accommodated my early arrival request. There was a fair amount of noise throughout the day both coming from the courtyard and from the hall way, but it wasn’t all that obnoxious or unexpected given the convention happening I guess. They certainly have an overzealous housekeeping staff that really wants to do their job. I put the “do not disturb” sign on the door so they didn’t bother me until they caught me leaving (and returning from) my room for lunch and asked if I wanted my room cleaned. I politely told them (both times) that I just checked in and wouldn’t require any service.
The hotel is right across the street from the airport and it’s about a 15 min walk, most of which is covered. Just follow the signs to the light rail station, cross over the street to the bus stop/parking lot and turn right.

Room Tip: Big property so ask for a room near the elevator if you don't want to walk. Courtyard view would...

Stayed here twice on the trip. Once for convenience as we began our trip after a late night flight arrival and once at the end of the trip before a morning departure.

For a business hotel I'd rate as generally acceptable but nothing special.

On the plus side, even at late night, there was a valet on premises to park your car. On the negative side, you had to go find him if you wanted his assistance (both nights). Didn't come to greet us or offer to help with luggage. As a result we decided to simply save the six bucks extra for valet parking. The good news is that the self park is an enclosed garage. The bad news is that it costs $20 a night and seems to be about a quarter mile walk (perhaps a tad exaggerated) from the room elevators.

There also seemed to be quite a difference between the rooms we received on the two nights. The first one seemed less fresh and you didn't need an alarm clock because the toilet flush and shower of the room next door served that purpose. The second had turn down service prepared for us when we arrived. The first room had a pillow on the bed with several stains on the cover (but we just tossed that one on the floor -- there were plenty of others on the bed.) The second bed was comfy and spring time fresh. So I guess it's also luck of the draw.

The breakfast buffet, however, was pretty nicely done both mornings and it seems as if that is consistent. Not quite as extensive as some Hilton buffets but more than adequate for our purposes and nicely presented. The staff at breakfast seemed a little confused about what is or what isn't included in the complimentary continental coupon for Diamond members but for $3 you can upgrade to the hot buffet, although one day the upgrade included an offer of made to order eggs and the other day it didn't.

So for convenience, it's hard to beat -- although International Blvd is lined with alternatives that can be considered. For service it's pretty average and unusually uneven. For price, it seems pretty steep for what you get.

In short, although nothing really upset us about the property, next time through, we'll check out another option.
