“Wonderful stay”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

Beautiful, clean hotel with big rooms, nice linen and comfy beds. Staff were terrific, from the hotel desk to cashiers and waitresses/waiters in the casino. The food at the Deli and Scatter Creek Grill is yummy and good value for the price. We didn't gamble, but watched others. Did not get a chance to try the pool or slot machines in the lobby. Nicely separated smoking and non smoking rooms. Extremely quiet with good black out curtains-we woke at 10:00 am (unusual for us, especially after going to bed before 10pm.) and only after hearing housekeeper's voices in the hall. It was a bit hidden, so we asked directions at the Shell and are so glad we did!

Room Tip: We had the non smoking wing on the side farthest from the casino.

Hotel was average for the money. Refrig, wet bar, beautiful picture on flat screen tv. I agree with another writer about the mattress. Room 402 needs turning or a new one. Nice separation of smoking and non-smoking rooms. The staff was very helpful and professional. Even though the casino was a walk away there were two slot rooms just off the lobby which was convenient. The casino was very busy and yes smoky but they do have a non-smoking area. Sign up for a players card & receive coupons & a free brunch buffet for your birthday month. Excellent food for brunch or dinner. Scatter Creek Grill was outstanding also. A nice get-away close to home.

We travelled with my mother and so had two rooms. Identical. Roomy.
Beautiful bedding. Room has a small kitchenette, not that we needed it... but nice to have as we bought groceries and were able to store in the fridges.
Rooms were smoke free.
Have large screen tv's
Bathrooms in our rooms only had a large shower stall. If you require a bath tub you should specify when you make reservations.
Short walk to the casino
There are a couple of rooms slot machines off the lobby of the hotel. There is also a Starbucks.
The casino has about three restaurants. We had dinner and breakfast in one of them. Very good.
Its a great place to stay, to break up the long roadtrip... one stop for stay, eats and entertainment.

Room Tip: Rooms we stayed in only had a shower stall in the bathroom. If you want/require a bathtub better to...

My husband and I decided on the way from Portland to stop here and stay the night so we made a reservation. We showed up and checked in at 6:30 and were given a smoking room which we didn't want but they didn't care. When we got into our room we called down and asked for extra pillows and towels and told them to just open the door and throw them in because we wanted to go see the casino.
While in the casino we were treated like dirt asked where the bathroom was and was told if we asked again we would be kicked out, I guess you aren't allowed to use the bathroom there..
We went back up to our room at 830, and still there weren't any extra towels or pillows so we called down to the front desk and we laughed at put on hold for over ten minutes then laughed at and hung up on. So we wanted to leave so we went down and loaded our car and when I went inside to ask who the manager was the girl at the front desk threw the managers card at me and said she's on vacation. I wouldn't stay here or visit here if they paid me to

Spouse and I stayed in Chehalis after a trip to Mt. St. Helens and decided to try this casino. It's about 20 miles from our hotel. We weren't impressed. The building is long and narrow and feels crowded. And it's too smokey for me. They have the latest penny slots, but most require a minimum $1.00 bet. There's plenty of self-serve soft drinks and coffee. I came out even on the slots; he lost. Portland Metro area gamblers aren't that far from the casino/hotels at Spirit Mountain or Chinook Winds. We think they're better choices.

Very friendly and very professional staff. Everyone from security to waitresses to Cashiers was great.

Food at Scatter Creek Grill was outstanding!

Rooms were beautiful and spotless. Mattresses in 202 need to be flipped. All wallowed out on the nightstand side.

I grabbed this hotel using Priceline for $77. We needed a stopover between Portland and Olympic National Park. The room was good size, but much of the carpet was stained. I had to break out the slippers for this evening. The bathroom was clean which helps. There is a slot room in the lobby, so one can smell smoke when checking in. Not very appealing. I will say it was quiet at night sleeping. This hotel served its purpose for us.
