“Ideal location for Richland”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

Great location on the Columbia River, the walking trail and nearby wineries. The room was clean, and well appointed with a microwave, refrigerator and flat screen TV. The breakfasts are above average and substantial, and not your typical "free" breakfasts. The staff was courteous and helped us with our days activities. We would certainly stay here again.

There is a park to the north and the trail in front of the Hotel connects to the Sacagawea walking/cycling path which is a 19 mile loop along both sides of the Columbia River.

Room Tip: Ask for a riverside room with a balcony

While the rooms are average to above average, the balance of the hotel is well appointed and spacious. A large rear patio abuts the river and river walk area. The rear patio is an excellent late day location to relax and enjoy a glass of wine if you’ve been touring. While our kids our grown, the indoor pool looked well kept and decent in size. For the region, this is a very nice hotel.

Room Tip: if it's not too much more, ask for a room on the water side.

Always enjoy staying here for the following reasons: Friendly check in, clean rooms with fantastic view of the Columbia River, substantial and varied breakfast offerings.

They have a wonderful patio area where you can sit with your (own) glass of wine in the evening and watch the beautiful river and people passing by on the great lighted pathway. Good wine selection, for purchase, in the gift shop.

We were very fortunate to be offered an upgrade to their 2 room, fireplace, jacuzzi, balcony room.
Treat yourself if possible. Everything was special and luxurious.

If you can, walk down to Anthony's for dinner which is also facing the water. It's about 1/2 mile walk and only a short 5 minute drive.

We've tried the "Courtyard" & "Shilo"..(shudder) and find Hampton has far more amenities and better prices.

We'll be back.

Clean and beautiful... ya know Tri-Cities is ugly but this location next the river and park is really nice. We were absolutely impressed. Motel was like new. Large standard suite. Frig and micro. Computer table too. Business center had large monitor screens. .

I stayed at this hotel two years ago when traveling on business and was very pleased so booked again. I was not disappointed. The property is located on the river with beautiful walking trails and adjacent to a city park. There are several restaurants in the area that you can easily walk to. The hotel is very nice. You pay a little extra for a river view but it is worth it! The hotel was a large lobby and the breakfast area overlooks the river. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: The river views are worth the extra money?

Though we had the first useage of their conference rooms years ago when it was first built, for a family event reception, we had not stayed on site before. Everything was just perfect in every way. It looked brand new in fact. Our 2 queen bed room had a large flat bottom tub with sloping sides and easy to get in and out of as well as extra towels and mat to stand on in front of the tub. Housekeeping pays attention to details...even the hair dryer was clean with no lint in the screen. Good mattress, larger rooms, nice computer table, good fridge and microwave, LARGE bench when you come in that is perfect to place suitcases on, very nice separate sink area outside the bathroom, many lights in the room, all electric fixtures secure and functioning, with large indoor swimming pool, and big screen TVs in lobby...extra couches to sit and visit, as well as plenty of seating in breakfast area. The breakfast was typical Hampton (though it would be nice if they offered turkey sausage and not just pork!!) This is a very beautiful place to stay, especially for Tricities...hubby wondered while eating breakfast outdoors as to what happened to the usual fly problem along the river (having lived there nearly 15 years, some years ago)? We give this our highest score for a great place to stay while in the area!!

Room Tip: We were on the top floor (third) and it was most quiet...if you had some time to relax, it might be...

Spent three nights here this week, and I found the hotel staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. I took advantage of the workout room, and the riverside location was a big bonus. There's a walking/jogging path that will take you miles away if you like, or you can walk to great dining or coffee.

Room Tip: Room 215 has a view of the HVAC equipment. Not the best view.
