“Never Again”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

When it opened we were hopeful to find an authenic Japanese restaurant with a dignified atmosphere and high quality food. What we found was the worst service in town. After waiting for coffee for a half hour, we were served 2 stale cups of coffee served in regular drinking classes. Never made it to the main menu. The only restaurant I actually walked out of in a long while. Won't be back. On the high side, this was the night we discovered the Bonefish Grill.

“Good Chinese Food”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

Nice, clean place. Our waitress seemed a bit "cold" at first, but as our meal went on, shwarmed up. We had fried dumplings (a bit chewy compared to what we like), the Sesame Chicken and the roast pork fried rice were both excellent -- we brought leftovers home with us. I had the house chardonnay (the only chard choice) and it was surprisingly good for $3.95! We definitely will be going back land/or ordering take out. Food was fresh, nicely prepared, and bigger than normal portions.

“Terribly run restaurant”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

A good restaurant needs more than good food to keep customers coming back. The staff here truly do not understand why people dine out. We went for any early dinner around 5pm on a Saturday with our 2year old son. This place definitely isn't family friendly, but they didn't need to laugh as they responded "no" when we asked if we could have a lunch portion for our son. We have eaten here a few times before, but this will certainly be our last. We ordered soup, appetizers, salad, and 3 dinner entrees. They also provide edamame as a snack while you wait. Well, within 5 minutes, we were served (at a small table for 2, even though there were 3 of us) every single thing that we ordered. Our table was completely full that we had to stack the rice bowls on top of the entrees. We hadn't even eaten 2 pieces of edamame yet. Couldn't the waitress see that this wasn't how you serve customers? Beyond that, the food obviously wasn't freshly prepared since it all came literally within 5 minutes of ordering. We had soup bowls on top of plates of vegetable tempura, pushed up against salad plates, next to dinner plates. It's not like we ordered take out. We didn't have a server come back to the table until we finally decided to just go home since it was literally impossible to eat anything with dishes surrounding us and our child, who inevitably was trying to grab everything since we didn't have room to place it away from him. We had to get up in order to track down the waitress to bring the bill and several boxes. To top it off, there were only 2 other tables with customers at the restaurant at 5pm, so why such poor service? Was it because we had a child, even though he wasn't making any noise? I still don't understand how they thought we would enjoy eating like that. These people just shouldn't be in the restaurant business. The food was sub-par, but we might have appreciated it more if this was simply a hole-in-the-wall place that only did carry-out. A nice establishment needs to know how to serve its customers. I wish I had said something to them while we were there, but we were just in shock at the service that it didn't occur to us until we left.

“No return customer here”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

I will not be returning due to the following: Poor service- rude and insulting staff Bad food- fish was cut to thin and didn't even cover the pod of rice and the fish in my roll was not the fish that it was supposed to be. It was also warm. And to finish, it was overpriced. Sorry to say I will not be returning. I would think twice before visiting.

“Consistently good food..”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

Friday night and looking for some good Chinese? Look no further than Sakura on Keene Road. My husband and I generally carry out...good food, good size portions, always leftovers for lunch on Saturday. The Double Wonders, Triple Delight, Mongolian Beef and Chicken with Mixed Vegetables are our favorites. The vegetables are always still crispy and fresh and the sauces are delicious! Enjoy your evening!
