It's just too bad Jimi's mother is buried about 100 feet away...She should be a part of this memorial since she did give birth to him.

Perhaps, not many people realize that Jimi Hendrix, legendary rock-guitarist was born and lived in Seattle. it's worth to see his grave-site in Renton, suburb of Seattle where he was born. It's about 25-30 minute drive south from Downtown.

I first visited in 2004 when I moved to BC Canada and was passing by. Have since been 4 or 5 other times. The gravesite keeps changing for the better. It is a wonderful tribute to Hendrix and his family. It is not just Jimi who is buried here. Your able to drive right up to the grave and one of the largest on the property so it should be easy to find. Funny thing is everytime I ask people in Seattle if they have visited or know where the Jimi Hendrix gravesite is they don't and have never been.

Cemeteries are not places I like to spend alot of time, tis a bit strange to me that I saw people jogging through like it was a park. But considering hendrix was such an influential part of the music scene, this place is worth seeing.
