This is such a fun place to hang out, to go for a water walk, eat, swim, sunbath/read on a blanket, have a pic nice, watch the sun set...

I've been going there since they built it when I was a girl, and tended to take it for granted. But after living in other places, and returning here, My eyes are opened to how special it is. On the walk heading north on the path, look for turtles, sea birds, fish, and people watch--always relaxing and fun..you may find it hard to get parking in summer, but it is with good reason--cool places are often popular, thus contributing to parking being hogged by the early birds...just be patient, and wait for them to come out and head to cars.

Also has an awesome boat launch.

The Personal Watercraft can be a bit noisy and disruptive; that is my one gripe is I wish they weren't allowed on Lake Washington. Idiots tend to gravitate toward them...

This could be a really nice park at the South end of Lake Washington. We have gone there for years now they have banned dogs from the park even if they are leashed. The police officer ask us to leave because we had our dog with us, she is a mini poodle and on a leash. According to him the dog will bother the waterfowl, but having people in the swimming beach won't. I guess the boat launch won't bother them either.
The park has lots of automobile parking, and great paths to walk while taking in the views of the lake.
So I would like to know why a Renton Police officer wearing a bullet proof jacket is worried about my poodle in the park or are they having other problem because other wise it is a waste of money to have them there!

This is a really nice park at the south end of Lake Washington. The part has lots of automobile parking, and great paths to walk while taking in the views of the lake. If you have a boat, the launch is large with plenty of trailer parking.

This was a great park on the water's edge of Lake Washington. The park is definitely family and tourist friendly. It was a very comfortable evening at the park and there are also several restaurants to choose from for a meal. Worth the visit.

walked here yesterday with a friend...even though the weather was not as warm as predicted (are we ever surprised at that?) still it was MOST enjoyable! We come here often...and will continue to come. Fun to watch for the animals and beautiful as seasons change! so nice to have a waterfront park so close.
