“The Breakfast Staple”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

We have been going here for years, trying other places but always coming back. Just make sure you plan to wait for a stool at the counter, table or booth. Oh come hungry as their plates arrive overloaded. Be it the Country Fried Steak smothered in gravy or a simple stack of pancakes you will not go away disappointed. Try the breakfast specials as a treat to yourself. Lunches are also very good... It is Redmond so it is bike themed and service is attentive and helpful.

“Eat early to avoid the long wait”
Reviewed May 17, 2013

One of our favorite diners in Redmond however come off-peak hours (weekends before 9 a.m.) to avoid the long lines, if you can. They offer a variety of comfort foods from omelettes, hamburgers to salads, always something for everyone in your group. My favorite is the Denver omelette filled with chunks of ham, green pepper and cheese, and the egg texture is so fluffy. Breakfast is served all day but lunch items start at 11 a.m. Another favorite is fish and chips except I find the coleslaw is wet and bland. If you order an entree item with fries, the fries are unlimited. Woo hoo! Love their crinkly fries, salted just right and never burnt. Meals here are a bit on the pricey side, for the two of us, our bill is generally in the low $30 range (without tip).

“Classic Diner Brunch”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

Village Square Cafe is great for a quiet and cozy breakfast. Their menu has enough variety to satisfy most customers, bottomless coffee, and the usual American breakfast fare along with a few sandwiches. The atmosphere has a great classic American feel from the 50s diners. Located in a quiet plaza, this is a great way to start a relaxing day off. While this is nothing to write home about, it's definitely a local favourite for comfort food and worth a try if you're in the area.

“There is always a line for a reason”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

One thing you will always find is a waiting line to get in. Do not let that discourage you as the wait is well worth it. The breakfast and lunches are delicious. There is an old fashioned lunch counter if you enjoy your dining that way. The wait staff is attentive and the food gets to you quickly…Try it out…………..
