“My favorite hotel by far!”
Reviewed November 1, 2013 via mobile

I truly hope I can return to this hotel! The rooms are truly beautiful with design features a traveler truly appreciates! The staff are very very helpful and friendly! The food was wonderful as well. I had a Guinness beef stew and a salad which both were scrumptious! And my favorite part? They serve Starbucks!!! Go visit Mark and Grace in the bar! They are the best!

How do I start? Their are 3 blonde girls at the desk. NONE of them are friendly! I had an extended stay there, and I was rarely greeted when I walked into the front doors! That's NOT good customer service! For this reason, I will NEVER give Hyatt House in Redmond my business again. I must admit that the gentlemen behind the desk were more friendly than those girls...

This Hotel would be great for long stays, with its separate living area, full kitchen, small work area and bedroom and bathroom. The hotel was really clean, the staff was sorta friendly. On two occasions it seemed like an offduty employee was up at the front desk talking to front deck managers, leaving the other to help everyone. So pretty frustrating with that.

Pros:

Nice large living space
Clean
reasonably priced

Cons:
Parking sucks, you have to park across the way in a garage then walk back. (it's not far, just seems silly in this day and age)
Very little around here without driving. Obviously you stay here because you know it. But it about 15 to bellevue and 35-40 (depending) to Seattle
some staff amazing, some staff just ignored you

I am sure I will be back there as we have some more events scheduled there.

My wife and I had a weekend stay for her to attend a one-day workshop. We booked the hotel last minute. I'd had positive experiences with other new style Hyatt properties (such as the Hyatt Place) and had similar hopes for this location although a different concept. We were not disappointing.

The hotel is very modern with lots of hard surfaces and minimalist furniture in the lobby. The hotel bar and restaurant is also very attractive and well kept. The location is a bit hard to find as the front of the hotel actually faces in toward a rather newly built mixed use structure that looks pretty under occupied. Parking is free in the parking garage located underneath the mixed use facility. Hotel parking is on the lower level of the parking structure and there is an elevator which takes you up to directly across from the lobby entrance. Signage is pretty good to get you from the parking garage to the hotel with ease.

We were warmly greeted at the front desk and check in was efficient. We experience this a lot when we book rooms last minute, but we got an ADA equipped room even though we didn't need that kind of service. The room was spacious with a large kitchenette area and a fairly comfortable couch which was probably also a pull out bed. The bed itself was very comfortable and didn't feel worn in or as if it had been in the property for longer than its intended life.

Since our stay was overnight we didn't really have much time to use the other facilities, such as the hot tub or pool. I did go down to the morning breakfast, however was rather disappointed. There was plenty of food, but the bacon and sausage was obviously undercooked. Many slices of very floppy and barely shrunken bacon were in the warming pan along with better cooked bacon and the 3 sausages I picked up were nicely browned on the outside but still pink on the inside. Additionally, there didn't seem to be sufficient staff to bus the tables and restock the buffet bar. There were always tables which needed to be wiped down and returned to service, however the staff that was present was spending all of their time restocking the buffet which was continually being depleted by the diners.

The remainder of the breakfast was fine. The pancakes that were in a warming pan were tasty and so were the cheese covered scrambled eggs. They also had an omelet bar, but there was only one staff member working the omelet bar and she seems very overwhelmed by orders. All the typical other stuff that is served at breakfast, including dry cereal, yogurt, milk and juices, some fresh fruit and various breads and pastries were present. It is a broad selection of foods for a complimentary breakfast.

Our sleep quality was very good. The bed wasn't worn out and the room and linens were super clean and well kept. We will stay again in spite of the breakfast.

Room Tip: One of the room classes available is a "tower room" with a wrap around deck. Try to book...

Stayed here with family for the long weekend. Booked three rooms, all with kitchenette! king size bed and hide-a-bed. Spacious enough for two adults and one kid, with area to gather I one room with six adults, and 2 kids to visit. Very good value. Spacious and clean rooms. Friendly staff. breakfast is included, good breakfast-omelet bar, fresh waffles, fruit, cereal, and all the sides. Enough to meet all needs and breakfast preferences. Pool/hot tub area seems a bit dated compared to the rest of the hotel, still a good pool for kids. Less then 20 minutes into Seattle, lots of amenities in Redmond too! Would stay here again!

The hotel, although a little tricky to find at first is excellent. Location relative to Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond and local eateries is good. It is very quite with goo beds so sleeping is easy. The complimentary breakfast is better than average and the staff were very helpful. We also enjoyed getting out an walking in the adjacent park and on the trail extending from it.

We stayed one night, had a very comfortable stay and a terrific breakfast with a lot of variety. The only negative was the dingy bottom of the hot tub. We drove into Seattle the next day easily. We would stay here again.
