BJ's in Puyallup was an easy lunch environment for business, especially on the side room, not as much noise or TV distraction. I had the lunch Pork slider, chicken breast and slaw. The chicken breast had awesome seasoning, moist and delicious. The slider had great flavor. It was a nice lunch portion and easy on the budget.

We have heard good things about the food. All three times the service was horrible and the place wasn't even busy. I try not to complain but when it takes an hour to get drinks and nothing else that is a bit over the top. Evening, lunch, or weekend it's been bad. The food has been average in taste.

We walked in the front door on a lazy Saturday afternoon at 3pm, February 8, 2014 and were surprised to find BJ's almost full but with 5-6 empty tables in view. The hostess was busy escorting a group of 5 people to a booth on the other side of the restaurant and then she stood there talking with the group for 5 minutes or longer rather than rushing back to seat us. Finally, we were seated by a server walking by who could see the hostess was not doing her job. We were seated at a table and waited another 5 to 10 minutes before our server came by to take our order for drinks. We waited 5 to 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive. In other words, we were in the restaurant 20 to 25 minutes before we could place our hands on one of their great beers. Do we have management problems here? If this had happened at any other restaurant, we would have walked out. But we really like BJ's beers, salads and deep dish pizza and we thankfully were not in a hurry. When we finished an hour later, another hostess was seating people promptly. I was tempted to rate this restaurant poor but the beer and food are too good. I just like to have a beer in my hands within 5 minutes, not 25 minutes.

took 15 min to get a server and even longer to get food. they were even slow giving us the bill. Thank goodness the food was very good. VERY loud. My son and I had a hard time hearing each other at a table for 2.

We find the lunches to be the best value, We had dinner on this visit and though it is a pretty big menu, the entrees were not extremely generous or exciting. Lunch is very reasonable and we like the variety of choices. You don't want to miss their in house root beer or sodas. They are very good and refillable.
