The Taprock is a beautiful northwest lodge style restaurant.
The first thing you notice after the beautiful woodwork is the smell of fresh rosemary that permeates the restaurant. Turns out when you receive your bread, you receive homemade bread sticks that are flavored with fresh rosemary. very nice touch.
The food is styled to reflect northwest taste with an abundance of seafood items. Some of the menu items have specialty cheeses and northwest named items and that is nice.
The prices are reasonable and run from $7 salad to a $20 prime rib and shrimp plate.
The only real issue we had with the meal was poor service. Took too long for the waitress to come to our table then once the wine was delivered she never came back to see if we might want another. A restaurant with reasonable menu prices will never make it if they do not serve a good deal of wine and liquor. I ordered a large dinner salad and got a small one. She never came back to see if things were OK, so I flagged down the manager who took care of us for the rest of the meal.
We will try this place again in about a year and hopefully they will get their service act together.
