the best thing i can say is the staff were friendly, and the sheets looked clean. i was charged about 160.00$ for the most disgusting room ive ever stayed in. 29.00$ would have been more in line with the quality.

The good things about this hotel are the price and location and the staff person "Cookie" was exceptionally nice.

It was a quite hotel and featured an indoor pool and spa with free wi-fi.I prefer a modern hotel rather than the antique place typical in this seaport town.

I will stay here again most likely as it was comfortable and the price meets my meager travel budget as a solo traveler.

We have usually stayed here in the winter when it's too cold to camp. The prices are a lot cheaper, but you get what you pay for. On the other hand, they gouge you during the summer. Stayed there recently and paid $135 for one night. Again I asked myself why I always end up here - it's the first place you see, right on a corner. Bathroom is tiny. Toilet seat made a haunted house squeak, so we just left the lid up. The toilet had a bad flapper valve, so it kept refilling the tank all night. The place is old and very outdated. But again, it's just a place to sleep, not spend the day in. Still, I think our visit in July 2012 will be the last one, we will look for other quarters. I'm sure we can do better for the price.

After making a reservation at the Port Townsend Inn we received a phone call 2 weeks prior to our stay saying due to "computer error" we had been booked into a room that is under construction. They now wanted us to pay $129 for a room instead of the $119 we had reserved. Beware of this establishment. They are disreputable.

This hotel was in a good location for a walking tour of town, as well as having a mini-mart at the foot of the driveway. The pool gave kids a diversion and exercise. Helpful staff provided good ideas on things to do. Breakfast had reasonable choices. Excellent value for the price.

Room Tip: The second floor has water views.

This motel is good for the price. An indoor pool and spa is nice in the chilly Washington winter. The nearby motel were quite a bit higher with no additional benefit. However, the Palace Hotel downtown was the same price for a shared bath room, $59 on a winter weekday.

I have family in Port Townsend, and the room was booked for us by them. We specifically asked for a non-smoking room and got one that smelled like the bottom of a bar ash tray.

The room is very small, grungy, and in need of updates.

However, the clincher for me was when we discovered that the floor between the bed & the bathroom wall was soaking wet. I don't know how long it's been like this, but I am floored that no one has noticed it until now. It's so wet, it actually squishes.

Would not recommend and am going to be looking for a new place to stay
