We went on an hour boat ride yesterday with the Puget Sound Express. It was a wonderful way to spend the day and out entire group had a very enjoyable time!!

Captain Matt was awesome and very knowledgeable. The crew was friendly and accomodating to my great uncle who needed to be in a wheel chair. Plenty of things to drink and snack on while onboard!!

The San Juan's are beautiful and a nice layover in Friday Harbor for lunch and a quick look in a few shops!! Even though we didn't see any whales it was a lovely way to see some of the Pacific Northwest and all it's beauty!!

We booked a 4-hour whale watching trip in the afternoon and enjoyed every moment of it. The boat was very comfortable and we spent a lot of time on the deck soaking in the sun and the breathtaking views of Pacific NW. With mountains on one side and endless sea on the other, it was a perfect setting for whale watching. We spotted a ton of killer whales in their natural habitat. On our way back, we saw bald eagles, sea lions and seals. I'd highly recommend this trip for a great family outing.

We were on the boat to get back from a kayaking trip on August 18. A passenger on board had a medical emergency. The grace and competence with which the crew, particularly Matt, the ship's captain, handled things were extremely impressive. We were sitting up near the captain. After the incident, we heard him on the radio doing his best to get information so we could see whales. Since we lost so much time due to the incident, we were not able to get lucky with the whales again (they had already seen some on the way over to Friday Harbour). But it was still a nice trip on the water where we saw a number of seals and eagles. Most importantly, the crew's quick actions might have saved someone's life.

For three years, I have gone out on four different whale watching companies, none of whom offered the guarantee that if you don't see a whale, you can come back. I've never managed to see an orca. So this time, I decided to try whale watching from a different venue after hearing PSE offered this guarantee and wonderfully, we saw several J pod whales and were able to listen on the hydrophone! Our captain and Lilly were wonderful and kind, providing information and details about the trip. i would highly recommend them again and plan to use them whenever we are not up in the San Juans and want that Salish Sea experience!!

We couldn't have picked a better day to go whale watching. The weather was incredible. The crew was fantastic (Corey and Amy). Corey did her best to find us a whale and she did! We stayed in the whale's area for close to an hour and were able to see him at least 10 times and hear him. It was amazing. We also saw porpoise, seals, and at least 5 bald eagles and their nest. The approach to the San Juans was absolutely amazing. She dropped us off at Friday Harbor for 2 hours. That gave us enough time to eat lunch and grab ice cream. I recommend Haley's lettuce wraps:) We came back to Port Townsend at exactly 5 pm. Food was offered on the boat along with drinks and if you did not have cash they would just charge you when you got back to shore. I recommend the Blueberry Buckle. I would definitely take this trip again or take the boat to the San Juan's for a weekend. Best experience yet since we have moved to WA. My mother in law was thrilled because this trip was on her bucket list.
