“Perfect cuppa!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

Pippa's has a huge selection of teas to choose from. She asks you what kind of tea you're in the mood for, then takes canisters off the shelves so you can sniff and decide. The sweets are hard to pass up, because she thoughtfully has samples waiting for you to try at the counter! Try the orange cream cookie -- YUM! Also, the restroom is beautiful and very clean. Nice place!

“A modern tearoom and refreshing alternative”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2013

I love this place: Helpful, friendly staff. Clean, bright, modern decor. Inexpensive, delicious pastries. And lots and lots of tea.

Lots of coffee shops in Port Townsend trade on PT's funky, bricky, Victorian, artsy vibe. Pippa's has gone against type by ditching any frilly English china and lace curtains or any of PT's Victorian's leanings. Instead, it's bright and modern, a really fresh, hip take on the idea of a tea room.

Prepare to be overwhelmed by choices. Take your time and sniff everything (sniffing is encouraged). The staff is also wonderful at offering suggestions: I've never regretted taking their recommendations. I like that the tea is served in clear pots with a timer -- makes it feel very official and scientific!

The pastries are a lovely addition: a nice variety of cakes, tarts and those scones. Oh, those lovely small scones with a big smear of clotted cream. The small size and reasonable portions mean that you can have just a light snack, or assemble a few selections for a real feast.

“Clean, Nice Staff, Tasty Tea, Ok Pastries”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2013

The place is clean and bright. We ordered a 'pot' of tea and were kind of surprised to only get two cups out of it, but the price wasn't too bad. Also thought plastic cups were an odd choice for tea, but the tea had a nice flavor and the staff was really helpful and friendly. The pastries were kind of bland, but we didn't get there in time to get scones or anything.

“What a gem !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013

This is one of the cutest little shops in P T . Not what you might expect in a town that is quite Victorian in many ways .Pippa has beautiful modern furnishings (not Victorian ) , everything sparkling clean ,with orderly displays of teas in named glass jars arranged along the front lobby area.

A Warm cozy place to have tea in the winter , with a fireplace in the back room. They have cute outdoor decks and gardens along with tables and chairs, for when the weather gets warmer. This "tea room" has a very nice upscale feel . It is definitely bigger than it looks from the street . Beautiful changing art displays on the walls .
.
Wonderful service with a smile ...very nice owner and wonderful staff. Ask for help in picking out a tea to try ...they will gladly select some jars of tea for you to smell the aromas .

Tea for every taste , served in stylish modern tea glasses. With homemade treats/pastries .

So what really got me smiling was the fact that she has little scones with REAL clotted cream and jam ...just like in England . That is an amazing unusual little treat . She has wonderful slices of delightful cinnamon cake also , plus other teasers.

So , if you need a wonderful change from coffee and different change to modern scenery , this is a place I would highly recommend.
