“Great Spot at end of town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 4, 2012

When you get to Doc's you find yourself surrounded on three sides by water, which makes outside dining in the summer GREAT. Inside there is a great ambiance with a main dining area, a bar area and a secluded area in the back for what I would think to be a bit more intimate.

We were there for lunch. My salad was very good and the burger I had was great. My friend had the prime rib dip and he really enjoyed it. Service was very good and timely. I can't wait to go back and try something else. The menu is the same for lunch or dinner.

If you have time walk around the marina to the marine trades building. Also take a look at the framed photos on the wall that show views of Port Townsend - maybe something will strike you fancy and someone can tell you where to go and see what you see in the picture.

“Another winner in Port Townsend”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

Five of us went without a reservation -- No problem. Nice place, good food. Very friendly employees. We all had something different and all were happy. I'm not big on seafood so I had ribs and gravy over mashed potatoes with asparagus. Yum!

“Great Food - Limited Offerings”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2012

We were at a nearby B&B so we decided to try the fare. It was a great choice...but the options were limited as they were out of a number of their entrees...disappointing.

The service was great, and our dinners were certainly tasty and filling...but I still would have preferred my first or second choices...

Having said this we will go back...

Great food, great service, wonderful wine!

Doc's was within walking distance of our B&B and the views were fantastic.

“Rainy, crabby night with good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Ours was a short first-time visit to Port Townsend and we will be back. Our hostess at the Swan made our reservations at Doc's. I'm a big seafood fan but the hubby is a dyed-in-the-wool carnivore so we need a place to meet both our palates. Hubby had the prime rib and it was cooked to his liking but he felt it less flavorful than some he'd had rating it a 7.5 out of 10. His broccoli was too raw for his taste but the potatoes and salad were a hit. I had Dungeness crab on a special which was fresh and tasty. the Ceasar salad was generous and the dressing very good. Drinks were wonderful, generous and with quality liquors and the service was stellar and friendly. All in all a good experience.
