“A great place to stay on and off a budget”
Reviewed May 18, 2012

I stayed at the Aladdin Motor Inn for over a month and a half for business. Between end of March and whole month of April. During my stay, anything i asked for(within reasonable means): extra pillows, towels, bed made with fresh sheets, bathroom cleaned; anything to do with hotel service, i got it. Every morning there was breakfast, simple basics. Such as: muffin slices, fresh bread's with enough items to lather on, cereal's, milk, juices, fresh fruit, and coffee's and tea; you get the picture. It was more than enough to fill your belly and get you started for the day.

I understood this was a simple, yet more than enough, place to sleep and stay. And think about it, there could be a lot less. No BRAND new flat screen TV's with plenty to watch. No free WiFi. No chairs and table to use and sit at. No dresser to put clothes in. Not enough hangers to hang items, and or space off the floor to store bags. No roomy bathroom for the size of room. No never ending hot water.Nothing is clean. Etcetera, etcetera. But they do! What more do you need from this establishment!?

Some people need to get off their high horse, and think before they speak. Disappointment is due to 50% or more your own expectations. Do your research on somewhere or when you arrive at a place, see if its going to meet your needs. Don't go somewhere, let things get to you, and then be too much of a coward, with a giant stick up your gluteus maximus, to say something about it, so that they might be rectified.

Price was within reason, and they differ between views and non views. Views are amazing by the way. Staff are kind and courteous, remember you give respect to get respect. Even though they still continue to give respect to those that do not deserve it. Some things may no be perfect here, but despite the age of the property, they have held up well. I would expect when the right monetary amounts are accumulated, then things will be updated as well as possible.

All in all, location, accommodation, staff, and stay were 5 star! I know where ill be staying next time i am here on business or personal pleasure.

Room Tip: View rooms are amazing all floors are good, but 3rd floor is the best. None the less, non view rooms...

I emailed them a question, no response, I called, and asked why I never received a response, not sure why, but no apology either. The WIFI never worked in the room on 3rd floor. I was told the breakfast was served at one time, but it was being served earlier. Went in to get breakfast, kids wiped it out, and the staff was in no hurry to replenish, so we had to go else where. We stayed there because they had the breakfast. It seems the staff does not care, and it reflects it. I will look at other places to stay. Not worth it. View is great, but the staff ruins it.

Room Tip: If you want to use WIFI, pick a room on a lower floor and closer to antenna.

Thank you for choosing Aladdin Motor Inn. we appreciate your business and your time.
we are sorry for your experience, that didn't work out the way it was expected.
and as a manager I personally don't like to give an excuse about our services, and just wondering to make it clear that we do have Wi-Fi services and it doesn't matter you stay on 3rd floor or 2nd floor you will have enough speed to check your emails and do your business activities.
And I apologize about weak network, but sometime we feel like we are handicap when anyone complain about Wi-Fi when there is not enough strength in main line due to amazing Washington weather.
And we also apologize about break fast service that we only serve in a morning 7am to 10am. but we also have a cases like if guest ask for break fast 12.30 pm in after noon and we have provided them cereals. and we understand refiling might take few minutes.
but sorry for inconvenience. we will make sure that won't happen again.
thank you so much for your time and consideration we really appreciate that.
thank you.

Although a little dated this hotel has a good staff and beautiful location. The room was clean, had a flat screen television, coffee maker and refrigerator in room! Within walking distance to Pt. Townsend brewery and next door to The Pourhouse- They offer a continental breakfast which included cereal, toast or bagel, orange juice and coffee. Only complaint is they say they offer free internet however once connected it would go in and out and never work properly.

Room Tip: Get a room that faces the water- I think floors 2 and 3 have balconies on the water side.

An affordable and comfortable waterfront motel is a real find in touristy Port Townsend. Located close by the Keystone ferry terminal, in the old port zone, the Aladdin is a relatively recent structure right on the beach with water views from all rooms. The motel is pet friendly, which is also rare in Port Townsend. The rooms are comfortable enough for a night or two, with a serviceable refrigerator and microwave. They are fairly well-maintained, though ant bait under the bedside table within reach of our dog was not a good idea. The continental breakfast is, indeed, light as advertised, but gives you a head start on your day. Good fish-and-chips cafe next door and BBQ joint across the street. A bit of a hike to quaint downtown PT, but a loop city bus stops close by. In sum, a quiet, convenient overnight spot, with parking and helpful management, apparently patronized by weekly local workers as well as by travellers.

Have stayed there three times now, will stay there again late this April. And will stay there again in the future. Clean, quiet, and not too pricey. Plus they are dog friendly!

Picked this place based on reviews from tripadvisor and was very disappointed. I know it's a budget hotel and the room was clean but the pillows were horrible, and the stench from the surrounding area even worse. Manager was nice, don't get me wrong and I know they can't control the smell but the rooms desperately need upgrades. Poor televison choices and although the rate was great, could have stayed at a nicer hotel for just a few ddollars more. Just keeping it real folks.

This was our 4th year in a row to stay at the Aladdin. Previously we had stayed at several b & b's, the Palace Hotel, Tides Inn, Port Townsend Inn and Hammond House Cottage--all wonderful experiences. We originally chose the Aladdin because of the reasonable rates. We keep returning because it's clean and comfortable and quiet. The secret (that too many people are learning) is it's wonderful waterfront setting. We love the view from the balcony (every room on floors 2 and 3 has it's own private balcony!). Hospitality is tops here--we feel like we're home each time we arrive. Our yearly visit to Port Townsend ended 2 weeks ago and we miss it already, especially our home away from home! Oh yes, and Waterfront Pizza delivers there!

Room Tip: Although there is no elevator, the third floor is our favorite--very quiet.
