Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours
Owner description: A historic cinema in downtown Port Townsend, with the best in current film, cult flicks and classics. The auditorium and facade feature gorgeous details from the Rose's day as a vaudeville house, dating back to 1907. With delicious popcorn, plus beer and wine and and a beautiful collection of film photos, the Rose is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Like no other small town theatre you've seen. Worth a visit even if you're not going to a movie!

An original, restored beauty of a movie theatre...the movie would be as interesting as the theatre itself.
Splurge - get your gal some hot popcorn and sneak a kiss in the back row.

Can't say enough about our time at The Rose. Buy your tickets, enter the snack area for "Brando" etc. sized buttered popcorn and an array of candy, coffee, soda choices. The crowd was refined, serious, older. The seats were plush and velvety like seats of old-time glamour houses, but there was ample leg room. The movie house mistress announced the film with some candid info about the production. Nice touch. Wish I lived there, I would be a regular. LOVED it.

A step back in time. Comfy seats. A theatre employee comes to the front to tell you about the movie. Very neat!

Beautiful historic theatre staffed by people that care.

Saw " TheButler" there last week. Had the popcorn with yeast (yes, yeast!)..(.they have 5-10 toppings forpopcorn and they are tasty!). Film was intorduced by a staff membr that clearly knew her stuff, and made the experience all the more enjoyable.

DO visit Rose is you visit PT!
