“Wonderful hotel in scenic Washington State”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

I stayed here for three nights recently visiting a co-worker who lives in the area. This hotel is only a few years old and is nicely situated at the junction of the Columbia and Methow rivers. All the rooms have a nice view of the Columbia, the higher rooms offering a better view. My room was very large, two queen beds, an electric fireplace, wet bar, huge bathroom, etc. There was a small but nice continental breakfast every morning in the lobby. Staff were very friendly and helpful, there is a restaurant (Rivers) adjacent to the hotel offering good food. There is also a small bakery next to the Conference Center that serves wonderful pastries and great lattes, and it converts to a pizza shop in the evening with good pizza as well! My first time visiting this area, hope to return again and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

When we planned our road trip on the Cascade loop, we did not think we were going to find a high quality hotel in tiny Pateros, Wa. What a pleasant surprise!!! The Pateros Lakeshore Inn was better than most hotels we've stayed in! Everything was beautifully updated, clean and comfortable. We had an excellent view of the lake from our 3rd floor room and our room was huge! Very reasonably priced for the quality. The restaurant next door was excellent as well!

I was so surprised to find such a beautiful place in the middle of no where. The hotel is way above average and the staff is on top of things! Great place to eat right next door to the hotel with great food and good prices. Bring your boat as the hotel has docks right in front of the rooms. The water is clear and a lot of fish jumping!

Room Tip: Room with a river view!

We stayed here along with other family members each in their own room. Really loved the place. Had a spectacular view of lake from our balcony. Very nice decor in room. Spacious bathroom. Gas fireplace. Great Friendy Staff. And a wonderful Mexican Restaurant right across the street. Hotel is a short drive north of Chelan and much more laid back for chillin. Will stay here again.

It takes extra effort in Eastern Washington State to find nice hotels that allow pets. The Pateros Lakeshore Inn is one of the few hotels in the Pateros/Lake Chelan area that has pet friendly rooms. After much research we decided to book this hotel, although we knew we would be a 25 minute drive from the prime area of Lake Chelan.

The hotel is located on Pateros Lake but it is also close to the main highway. Adjacent is a new gas station, convenience store and restaurant. We had a ground floor room and with the patio door shut could not hear any traffic noise. Since we stayed in Pateros in July we did need to run the air conditioner and it was quiet enough. My suggestion to anyone booking this hotel without a pet is to request a room nearest the City Park and away from the road.

Our king room was large and included a work table, an easy chair with ottoman, a microwave, and a refrigerator. The bedding was some sort of fabric blend and could be improved upon. There is no WiFi connection in the rooms but the hotel provides a cable connection for your laptop. We felt the lack of free WiFi in the room was a real minus. The strange under sink "blue light" feature in the bathroom noted by another reviewer was truly odd. That light was so disconcerting we unplugged it -- maybe aliens were consulted for the bathroom ambience! The bathroom featured a shower only (no tub) and the towels were great and plentiful - which was much appreciated. I have to agree with the other reviewer that the water pressure is weaker that one would like and a hand held nozzle would be a good addition for showering.

A continental breakfast is provided and it is adequate although the communal area could be improved by removing the large table and providing more small tables. We ended up balancing our breakfast on our laps while sitting on a sofa -- if the breakfast area is busy you might be carrying your food back to your room to eat.

Our room rate was pricey for Pateros but not compared to Lake Chelan's prices for high season. If you need to travel with your pet near Pateros you might consider this hotel.

Pateros is a gem of a place in northern Washington. Manicured river banks, wonderful food options, friendly locals and a river full of fish... what more could one ask for? This new hotel was beautiful with a friendly staff that went out of their way on several occasions to make our stay more comfortable. Continental breakfast was simple but full of fresh cut fruit, hot-drinks were always available (it was really nice to be able to make a mocha at 4 AM before heading out fishing). A few details really make this an ideal place for those who are fishing - free moorage, fish cleaning facilities, fish freezing and a well-stocked mini-mart on-site.

Room Tip: All rooms have amazing river views.

We managed to sneak in for a one night stay over a weekend when it seemed like they were not that busy. The room was new and clean, with average furnishings. There was an cute electric fireplace in the room and a lovely territorial view of the area and the river/lake. There is an unusual blue 'night light' in the bathroom, still not sure how I feel about that, perhaps the blue is supposed to make me feel cooler on a hot day. The sheets on the bed were possibly a polyester blend as they were pilling -not the most comfortable sheets, but the bed was actually pretty good. I recommend a higher quality sheet on the beds -- also, if they would install handheld shower heads in the bathrooms that would be a nice change.

Room Tip: Be aware there is a two night minimum over the weekends and they are pretty strict about it.
