$10 day-use fee ($30 annual pass) but it has a small beach, a well-done museum, lots of trees, a Maya Lin installation, clean bathrooms.

“Nice Riverside picnic, bike ride or walk park!”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

Sacahawea [Heritage] Park's, paved and lined 23 mile bike/walk path which runs right along the edge of the Columbia river is a nice easy ride or stroll [ the bike trail actually runs in a loop, over the Columbia around to Kennwick via 3 different bridges]. Most of the sitting or picnicing areas, in the park, are nicely grassed and shaded with trees, there is also a small playground, however most of the bike trail/path is exposed to the sun/ elements & in the open. An interesting thing about this Park is that at the East end the Snake River empties into the Columbia and at the West end of the Park the Yakima River also empties ito the Columbia.
This park appeared to be used alot by the locates. It is a very clean, well maintained park and it also has a boat launch!.....lots of people sking and tubing on the river!

“Scenic and shady!”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

This is an "away from it all" park. A little hard to navigate but findable. Looks to be a great place for the family now. There seems to be evidence of troubles lately but it looks to be cured now with $10 a day (per car) entrance fee. Steep but the price to pay to keep out the "riff raff". A very nice setting on the confluence of the Snake into the Columbia River. Good boat launch with parking. Big full trees with lots of shade, which is a premium in the area.

“A riverside park....”
Reviewed January 7, 2012

Located at the confluence of the Snake River and Columbia River Sacajawea is a memrial to the Indian guide of Lewis and Clark. The park is far enough out of town to get away but still clsoe to services. Nothing really notable.
