“Always Stop on the Way to Oregon”
Reviewed July 24, 2014 via mobile

We have always stopped here on our trips to Oregon. We especially love all of the yummy free samples, especially the fresh fruit. We have never eaten at the restaurant, mostly because we look for healthier options, instead of yummy only, which is what they mostly offer, great country cooking! The salsas are great and very tasty, as is the fresh fruit! Highly recommend to anyone that needs a quick stop.

“Worthwhile Stop for Lunch and More”
Reviewed July 15, 2014

There are a ton of flavors from sweets to salty at the Country Mercantile - we go out our way to stop for lunch and grab some other goodies whenever we pass through Pasco.

Fresh fruit, a little pricey, but fresh picked and juicy sweet. Homemade salsas to meet every discerning palate, and fresh chips to dip in them. We picked up a pan of enchiladas to cook for dinner later that night. Heated up and topped with some fresh garlic salsa, I ate one and a half! We also picked up a couple of jars of pickled asparagus -they may or may not make it home...

Both passing on our way east and coming back west, we had the Zesty Roast Beef and the Grilled Pastrami sandwiches.. oh, my! The horseradish on the pastrami made it mouth watering and the asparagus on the roast beef made we want seconds.

For the folks that like sweets, wow do you have your choice of candy and chocolates! From dark to light on fruit off fruit, nonpareils, and just about any kind you can think of. Select your own and fill your boxes.. and don't forget the ice cream, it's local made and creamy.

While a little spendy, it's totally worth the stop... you can taste test yourself crazy and fill your cupboard at home.

“One of my favorite road trip stops”
Reviewed July 8, 2014

It's a perfect stop - plenty of fresh goodies ranging from canned/pickled items to fresh chocolate (caramel applies are delicious). They have fresh made salsa, fresh cider, ice cream, a restaurant featuring an assortment of options. The produce they sell is extremely fresh. When traveling between Portland and Spokane/Couer d'Alene, we always make it a point to stop.

“BEST CHOCOLATE AROUND”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

What a pleasant little surprise this is along highway 395!! There are carnival attractions to catch your eye from the highway, but that's just the beginning.....
When you first put your sunglasses on the top of your head, after walking into this spacious building, you will know you have entered the COOL ZONE....To the right is all the fresh veggies and fruit anyone could want to stuff the fridge of their motorhome....Straight ahead, there are jams, jellies, relishes of all kinds ( huckleberry EVERYTHING!) A few more steps and you are in the candy zone -- every kind of candy you can possibly imagine, my favorites are the fudge....Two more giant steps and you are at the deli counter ordering your meal the way you like it with a wide selection of vintage soda pop to wash it all down. DELISHHH !!

The NW COUNTRY MERCANTILE is also an amazing gift shop and as an added bonus, I have not been there in many months that there has not been a fabulous bbq going on out back.
so whatever you desire....clean restrooms, fresh veggies, or the world's best sandwich on-the-go NW COUNTRY MERCANTILE is well worth taking a little side trip off highway 395 and on to Crestloch Rd, just north of Pasco, Wa.

“Great place to stop.”
Reviewed April 15, 2014 via mobile

The mercantile is a great place to stop for produce and all sorts of other great goodies. They have tons of salsas, sauces, strips, and juices. They also have hand made chocolates that are to die for. We love to go for the pumpkin patch and ride the rides and go to the petting zoo. Worth a trip or two!!!
