The owner was extremely accomodating. She got us extra pillows (immediately) and even a light bulb that was out. She helped us with picking out a dinner establishment. The rooms were clean and the hotel very quiet. The continental breakfast could have been better (muffins, coffee and juice). There were beautiful elk in the field next to the motel (which is very near Mt. Ranier). The town could have had better eating accomodations but they do have a little supermarket that was nice. We would stay here again.

The Crest Trail Lodge is not a luxury motel, but it is clean, safe and comfortable. The room (2 queen beds) was adequate sized, but I would not describe it as large. The motel is set a little back from the road, so the rooms were quiet. The towels were not over-sized or fluffy and there are no little shampoo/conditioner bottles. However, the room price was reasonable. The staff (lives on site) is EXTREMELY helpful. When she found out we wanted to visit the east side (less popular side) of Mt. Saint Helen's she got road information (some roads were closed for snow). She was cheerful and kind. I thought the place must be about 2 years old because of the fresh paint & carpet, but found out it was 13 years old. They credit the new feeling to their regular up-keep. This was a good night of sleep for our family of 4.
