“Great overnight get-away to a marine state park in the San Juans”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2011

We thoroughly enjoyed a Fri-Sat paddle with Ryan (trip leader) and other Groupon travelers to Jones Island Marine State Park - about 6 miles from the launch near the Orcas Ferry dock. We had great weather and ideal tides for our leisurely paddle over to Jones Island and back the next day. The group gear and meals were of good quality. It would be fun to do a multi-night trip the next time.

“Great time & awesome staff!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2011

I went on this trip in the end of august, besides the weather being perfect, the trip was lots of fun. I highly recommend going on the over night trip to Jones Island. The paddle is about 2 hours and you get to see lots of wildlife! Once we got to the island the camping gear was already set up including our tents, and the chef (Ryan, also our guide) got to work right away on dinner. With amazing sunset views and LOTS of deer, this trip will definitely be one to remember.

“Great Trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2011

I did the July 2 and 3rd overnight trip guided by Ryan. A very good trip and the island we stayed on had a very nice trail to explore. Weather was perfect and the paddle was very easy over to the island. On the way back, we explored more of the wildlife in the area. Darren

“Fabulous Kayak Tour with Girl Scout Troop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2011

We were lucky to have the opportunity to take 6 girls ages 13-15 kayaking with Jonah at Orcas Outdoors. Most of the girls had never been kayaking before and he was very patient and did an excellant job explaining what to do and making the girls feel comfortable. By the end of the trip they were looking like pros! Jonah was very knowledgeable about the area and shared what he knew with us such as how to use kelp for burns and showed the girls starfish along the rocks on the shoreline and an eagle in an eagles nest. Overall it was a wonderful experience that the girls will always remember and hopefully they will be back out on the water again.

“A great kayak tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2008

We had a wonderful sunset kayak tour. Ryan and his wife run great kayak trips. We took a two hour tour from 6-8pm. for $45 per person. This was our second time kayaking and it was great. When I made reservations, his wife said to wear fleece and bring water bottles. I think she should have told us to wear raincoats. You get splashed and it was very cold the beginning of June. We took rain coats and were glad we did. It was a great way to kick off our vacation.
