We stayed here last year on our wedding night and again a year later to celebrate our Anniversary, both times in the Mallard Room. This place seems like our dream home, we loved the English tudor style of the house and all of the beautiful decor within. The Mallard Room we stayed in was very clean, cozy and comfortable, and also has a two person jetted tub. Yes, the place itself is wonderful but it is the outstanding hospitality of the hosts, Don and Linda, that make it even more special. Not only do they go out of their way to pamper their guests, they just seem like great people all around. We enjoyed the tea and coffee, treats, the tasty breakfast, and the use of their kayaks with Don's tutorial and advice on where we were most likely to see wildlife (and we did see wildlife including at least 20 seals!) We give the highest recommendation possible to this place and look forward to staying here again sometime in the future.

My wife and I stayed here for a few days and it served as "home base" for our vacation in Washington state. We didn't want the hustle and bustle of an urban hotel, so this hidden gem was perfect! Kudos to Don and Linda for operating an amazing and peaceful retreat that is nested in an idyllic setting surrounded by a lush forest and a breath-taking coast line. While staying here, you can literally feel the stress of everyday life leave your body. Our hosts made sure that our stay was pleasant and restful. It was just a delight to have breakfast conversations with other couples who happened to be very friendly and fun! The house is not only picturesque, but has all the comforts one would need for a quiet getaway. Highly recommended! We'll be back!!

The Inn at Mallard Cove is a lovely English cottage located in a beautiful setting overlooking Puget Sound. We were treated like royalty by our hosts, Don and Linda. The organic, gourmet breakfasts were amazing. What a fabulous retreat into nature. We can't wait to return next year!

We came for a getaway Labor Day weekend and live only 1 hour away. It felt like we had left the country. We've been to MANY bed and breakfast inns but this one is the best. Don and Linda pay such attention to detail in both their Inn and their service. Their place is beautifully appointed and maintained. Our stay was perfect, and we met 2 other delightful couples. We enjoyed the intimacy of their 3-room capacity (6 people at breakfast). Our only let down was that our stay was limited to 2 nights. Visit. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Our room was the Garden Room, inspired by a quilt (on the bed) that Linda's grandmother made for her 50th anniversary. The room was impeccably appointed. It appeared sweetly and carefully vintage but had many modern conveniences including gas fireplace, radio/CD player, bedside reading lights, large bathroom with jacuzzi tub. It did NOT have a television or telephone, thankfully. The room has its own balcony and overlooked the beautiful and carefully tended grounds. My husband and I both slept very well in the canopy bed.

We selected this inn as a place to relax and unwind, and it was perfect. Due to short range planning, we settled for their smallest guest room, but the view from the deck over the water was gorgeous, and the bed was perfect. Don and Linda are gracious hosts who keep a lovely home with many different places to relax and read or enjoy the view, and their gardens are stunning. The breakfasts were gourmet, but lighter foods are also available, with plenty of fresh fruits and juices, organic yogurt, etc. Don escorted us on a kayak trip into the nearby reserve, where we viewed lots of wildlife, including herons, harbor seals, and eagles. A visit to the visitor center at the nearby Nisqually Wildlife Preserve was also fascinating and peaceful. If you seek some peace and beauty, this place is perfect.

Room Tip: The Olympic room really requires you live pretty much out of your suitcase, having the least space, but the view is stunning and everything first class!
