They do not have a date on reopening yet. But there is construction work going on. It was okay for oysters or fried fish before the fire. Let's hope is is better after they rebuild.

Historic restaurant burned nearly to ground; but is in process of rebuilding. Not great food and very gluten unfriendly; but nice location. Walk the boardwalk and then stop here for a drink to enjoy the scenery. Pass on having a meal.

A few weeks ago, the Olympia Oyster House suffered an electrical fire and was all but destroyed. They say it will be rebuilt. Soon, I hope.

Used to be a great sports bar type of restaurant to go to for lunch or an informal dinner. Had outside seating that was great in the summer too. Great views and great location. Unfortunately it had a major fire some months ago and burned down. They are just starting on the reconstruction. They have a few extra hurdles due to being on the water (built partly on pilings). Hope they get it rebuilt soon. In the meantime try the Budd Bay Cafe further North on the boardwalk. Another good restaurant I think you will enjoy. There are also several other local restaurants and chain owned places to get a meal in this area. The area is a great place to walk around and see the Olympia Waterfront. You can get a quick sandwitch, drink, etc. at the Bayview Market also. Coffee stand just inside the door there also.

This was a staple in downtown Olympia, since the early 1900's, but in July 2013 the Oyster house succumbed to a tragic fire that wiped the place out during the town's annual Lakefair. A loss of a legendary seafood restaraunt in downtown Olympia.
