“Purveyors of great ethics, food, entertainment, and goods!”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

I was shocked to see only four reviews for our dear Traditions Fair Trade and Cafe! That doesn't seem possible---it's a wonderful little sanctuary in the heart of our city, across from the water, and with the best view of the Capitol/Capitol Lake in town. The store is a place to find beautiful, creative, fairly traded goods, and the cafe is a haven for simple, healthy, light and sustainable foods, and a meeting place important to so many. Any given night you might find a concert from a national act, a local HeartSparkle players production, a local meeting of the Slow Food Movement or perhaps the local chapter of Toe-Curling Knuckle-Crackers! Really, it's a beloved joint run by folks you can really trust: to feed you, clothe you, educate you, entertain you, and beautify you. Sometimes, I'd like more choice on the menu, but what they have is GOOD, and served up warmly and with smiles. Their soups are definitely a highlight.

“Quirky and tasty”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

I went here with a client who highly recommended it. The burger was very tasty and was obviously fresh. I had it with the salad and lemon tahini sauce which really had a great flavor compliment to the burger. I did see those dangerous cookies and made the terrifying mistake of buying the chocolate peanut butter one. That is the most amazing cookie! And there went the diet lol...seriously though that cookie tasted sooooo good.

“An Excellent Eatery & Fair Trade Shopping Experience”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

We found this wonderful eatery quite by accident close to the waterfront in Olympia, WA. We had their soup of the day, which was a black bean vegetable, and a slice of the most wonderful quiche I've had in years. The counter employees were most personable, warm and friendly. This quaint restaurant is co-located with a Free Trade world folk art shop that carried some of the most unique, quality items we've ever found in a free trade shop. If we lived in the area, we would visit a LOT. A great and surprising experience!
