“Not as freindly as before”

My wife & I used to drive 115 miles from clark county twice a month to go to the red wind casino. We have been going for quite a few years, remembering the original old building when they offered free lunch to seniors + $5.00 & $2.00 coupns for slot play with a buy in and 50% off the buffet. We enjoyed the new building, but having put up with the changing of new machines that were not recording play time for comps for well over a year. Now it appears that what they used to call hemselves as the freindliest casino has gone big time into profit and reducing the comps to seniors. We have not gone for many months now. The changes that red wind made by reducing the slot coupons and giving rewards for play time that are only good on certain days PLUS the high cost of gas make it not so much of a enjoyable trip. Unless we get some information that there was a change of heart and restore the coupons for slot play and return to at least 50% off the buffet we will most likely not return. Also during our last visit when we tried to combine both of our points to help cover the cost for gas for the trip they would not combine them.
Requiring each person to accumilate $10 in points. Little Creek
casino does combine as well as a few other casinos. We usually play about $60.00 each every visit, $120 total + a 230 mile round trip, not big betters but I would guess that it is close to the norm.
Well, I consider it thier loss, not ours. After all, there are plenty of other casinos to go to.

“Always enjoyed going until lately”

Our friends would meet every Tuesday morning for breakfast or sometimes lunch. We got a 50% senior discount and that put the food at a reasonable price compaired to stopping at Denneys or other restaurants on the way. When the price went up we found that the quality of food didn't change with the price. Besides it was to expensive to eat there anymore and play the slots. All of us looked forward to our Tuesday out even though we always left money there in the slots. We figured each of us would loose between $20.00 to $60.00 each visit. Multiply that by 10 of us and that's a nice profit for you.
We drive from Puyallup and Fife to meet there. It's a long way to go to pay that much for breakfast.
It was nice getting the $7.00 slot money also but I can understand that some people may cash that in and use it for breakfast. I would think with the reward card showing on the computer that only the actual players of the free slot money would be able to receive there $7.00 off right then and even to get their food for 50% off. If you don't use your card and prove you play then you only the 25% off.
Be nice to the regulars. I see that you haven't have lines for lunch this month and very few people for breakfast. Maybe your idea of cutting back wasn't such a good idea. Your so far out in the woods and with the price of gas it was nice to get a little discount.
I know you also offer the 25% for dinner but most of us are in bed by then.
Thank you,

“It used to be a good place to go.”

Casino has a nice setting. It used to cater to senior citizens by offering $5 and $2 slot machine coupons during week days. But, those days are over. The coupons distributed now are for only keno, table games and a coupon for the buffett. The good old days of a senior citizen being welcomed with open arms appear to be over.

“worth the extra drive”

We loved the Red Wind Casino. We went the day before their Grand Opening weekend and had an absolute blast. The parking garage was very convenient. We ate at the Squalli-Absch Grille and enjoyed a delicious meal. We were able to take our leftovers to the car in no time. The service was friendly, polite, and fun to chat with throughout the entire casino (restaurant, bar, cashier, rewards center, etc.) The layout of the casino is very spacious. The rows of slots are not back to back. The tables have space between each other and are not crowded. I did not feel claustrophobic at all. We were not there on a weekend night though. This casino blew some of those other casinos (which shall remain nameless) out of the water. Once a month, I drive an hour north to get to the closest casino w/slot machines and I am definitely willing to drive the extra 25 minutes it takes to get to the Red Wind Casino.
