Lots of interesting and fun things for the kids and adults to do. Get your children or grandkids to think and have fun at the same time.

Everyone loves the new Hands On Children's Museum. It is bigger and better than the old one, and offers a lot more activities for the kids to do. Plus they have free Friday nights once a month for the parents to drop off the kids.

This hands on children's museum is one of the best we've ever visited. I was taken a little by surprise because I had not thought to find a facility that would rival similar places in much larger cities. The play clay areas are fantastic, the various exhibits fun and interesting. The staff were all very helpful and the facilities itself was spic and span. Thank you Olympia. What a great job. Well worth the visit and we will return regularly.

The museum was recently moved and expanded to this new location. It use to be a very simple place more like a children's play area. Now it's much bigger with lots to do. The price has also changed from about $5 to $9.95 for those 2 and over. Search the internet for discounts and coupons, usually you can get $2.00 to half price off.

Our children are 6 and 8 and both had a great time. They loved playing with the all stuffed animals in the animal rescue section. You can also build an actual play house out of wood slats that you can go in. The kids enjoyed putting on hard hats and safety goggles and used paint brushes pretending to be house builders. There is a stage if they want to put on a performance. There's also a huge spiral slide that goes form the second story to the first. There's a big crafts center where kids can make paper and clay items.

As a bonus there is a person made creek (free to the public) next to the museum that the kids played in. The water was cool which was nice since it was a hot summer day. Right next door is the Lott Waste Water Treatment Plant for Olympia. They have a WET Science Center that is free to the public with interactive exhibits for the kids. Admission is free.

There is a whole day of activities right in one convenient spot.
