I have stayed at this hotel twice, with the same results. The construction of this hotel, huge multi-story block, means there is no ventilation and the building seems to always be hot, especially the rooms. Sure, they have separate air conditioning in each room, but the mechanism is load enough that I can't sleep through it. Solution, at least the windows open so you can let in the cooler outside air. However, the hotel is close enough to the Interstate that traffic noise is considerable until the wee hours. Last time my room was right above some vent (I'm thinking it must be the hotel's laundry) and the screen covering the window was clogged with lint. Ask for a room as far away from the swimming pool as possible, is the only way I can suggest avoiding this. But, apparently management has just given up and let these window screens clog up and block the view in this section of the hotel. Not what you expect from a hotel with their target market niche.
Since the rooms are always too hot (I assume cold weather might mitigate this issue) I was surprised to see a very heavy quilt on the bed and no regular blankets in the room. Apparently this is to maximize the appearance of fancy accommodations. I finally learned my lesson and went to the front desk and asked for a regular blanket. They readily accommodated my request with a blanket from their supply room. So, don't delay asking as the quilt/comforter will be too warm except on the coldest nights, and you can keep it in case you change your mind. But if you are sweating under the quilt in the middle of the night, you will regret not having arranged alternatives

Room Tip: Do not stay in the wing to the right (as you enter the building) to avoid fumes from the swimming po...

We spent 2 nights at the Ramada as the base for touring in the Olympia area.
Although it is located about 4 miles outside of the city centre it is a great place to stay for touring around that state capitol region. A very comfortable room . Access into town is easy. Great value for money and has one of the better included breakfasts. The swimming pool pump had failed but that didn't stop us taking a cool dip!
