This is a walkway, on dirty water, with bad sculpture. Some of the docks have been condemned. Enjoy the view and avoid the oil and other litter in the water.

This was a great stroll and there appears to be a gem hidden every corner to make the walk interesting. There were a lot of art pieces to keep me interested and a nice stroll that takes you all the way to the capitol.

I wish the whole area was the same as this gracious space. I am talking about the whole north point being so. That would be an excellent space to enjoy. Alas, enjoy what you can.

The "landing" is actually an extended park that follows along the east side of Budd Inlet - the southernmost waters of Puget Sound. In warmer weather, it is delightful to sit on one of the rocks and watch the gulls. For those who will brave the weather, the wind-whipped water is also fascinating. Along the path, there is a playground, a couple of restaurants (I've been to Anthony's) and a tower that allows you to get a higher view of area. Just beyond the limit of the park are the docks where you may see ocean-going ships loading and unloading. Watch the walkway as there are designs and shells imbedded in it. This could be visited alone, with someone, or with children. The walkway is wheelchair accessible.

This is a great place for a walk and to check out the beach in downtown Olympia. Lovely in sunshine or rain.
