Just off the freeway and very accessible. You can walk and be with nature for about five miles. This is right on the Sound so you also get spectacular views! A very popular spot, especially when the weather is nice. A particular treat if you are a bird watcher.

This was a great trip! It's very interesting seeing how what was once a farm is now becoming an estuary..... Very cool. For birders, lots of birds as well. Very informative and helpful staff at the visitors' center...

Incredible views of Bald Eagles, and all other forms of bird life. Trails are level and well maintained. The removal of the levees, and now natural estuary with an amazing boardwalk built out over the water is not something to be missed. Bring your binoculars and be in awe!
