This is a nice condo. I say this as I am sitting in the apartment and writing this review! We took it as a timeshare exchange. After reading the other reviews, I expected the worst, but our one bedroom apartment is plenty big enough for the 2 of us, the staff is nice, the view over the golf course is acceptable. (Very little in Ocean Shores actually has ocean views. The sand dunes have moved the beach too far away) The place was clean and pleasant when we arrived and has all amenities -- even wi-fi. Our only complaint was that we were on the third floor with no elevators -- but the stairs are less difficult than those of our own home timeshare. Maybe we are the ones being noisy for the people below us! We try not to be noisy, but it was built before the days of great noise insulation. I would stay here again!

We booked our trip for spring-break on a very short notice so the Windjammer Resort was the only timeshare that was available on the Oregon/Washington coast. We didn’t think much about it until a week before we left for out trip, so we thought we would read some reviews. After reading the other reviews we started to think we maybe shouldn’t even go. Expecting the worst we headed out for our week vacation.

We arrived on Saturday evening and we were greeted very warmly. We were expecting the rooms to smell like smoke, the furniture to be falling apart and it to be so noisy that we couldn’t even sleep. When we walked into our 2 bedroom condo we were pleasantly surprised. The Condo was very clean; the furniture was almost all solid Oak, the couch was comfortable and the beds were in good shape. The mattresses were not pillow top but were of average hotel comfort. The kitchen had all the amenities needed to make the stay a pleasant one. The only this was you are able to hear the people above you running around, I guess that was really the only negative.

Since this is a very small resort and the pool/spa were outdoors and it decided to snow on spring break we were not able to use them but they did have a community center with a very nice workout room, sauna, Jacuzzi, pool, indoor basketball court, and game room for our use.

The golf course is a public course, and was well maintained. Diehards were out there playing but for me it was too wet and too cold. Beach combing was neat and there was a cinema just two doors down from the resort. The recommendations given by Charlie and his wife for dinning and places to go came in handy for us to have a good time even with the unexpected weather.

This place was very NOISY. You could hear every footstep in the room above. The dishwasher was the noisiest I've ever heard. The place was not clean, we had something disgusting on the walls of the shower that had not been cleaned. The water here smells like SEWER and the people in the town seem to know about it and laugh it off. I was so disgusted that we ended our stay early and left. We will never return.

I flew up to Washington to meet my parents at the Windjammer. This was a traded timeshare. Overall, we all were a bit disappointed. The room lackluster, furniture was falling apart but the 2 bedroom condominium was very spacious with a lovely view. Overall, this property really could use some improvements. I utilized the entertainment room a few times to check my email.

Our visit was the last week in May which was a cold one. The timeshare was practically vacant which worked in our benefit. No trouble finding parking and no foot traffic up and down the stairs. I'm sure the town is quite engaging during the warmer summer days, but we found the restaurants were still closing early. Fortunately, we were able see quite a bit of Washington state during our visit. Olympic National Park, Mt. Rainer, Seattle and Astoria were all day trips. We took an extra few days to take the ferry to Victoria Island in Vancouver.

We stayed one week at the Windjammer and we were very disappointed with the whole experience. How this can be rated as a silver crown resort is beyond me. We were assigned a ground level one bedroom unit and upon entering I immediatly disliked the accomadations. Although the unit had nearly everything you needed, it was not roomy at all ,had one small tv, very drab and uncomfortable furniture, a tiny patio with no table or chairs overlooking a sad golf course. The manager told us the place was over 20 yrs old and it certainly showed when we could hear every conversation through the thin walls, every door slam and footsteps up and down the stairs 24/7. So needless to say we didn't get to relax at all. We know that everything isn't always going to be perfect at all timeshares but we at least expected it to be comparable to the one we own, which is very nice.
