Owner description: This isn't a lie: with over 30 miles of hiking trails, this park is one of the premier hiking destinations in the country.

Originally from the East Coast this is a must for any visitors! It is the PNW postcard moment. Always something different, whether it is a tug pulling wood thru or sailboats we've always enjoyed the walk across the bridge or the treck down the trail below! Even foreign exchange students that have visited think it is a wonder!!!

A cathedral of a bridge, a beach worthy of a romantic walk, trees that cast a hushed sense of place over you. Not to be missed.

There is something for everyone here. The beach, swimming in unheated adjacent fresh water lake (same parking place). Picnic tables. Camp spots (by reservation). Big waves if it is high tide and windy. Amphitheatre, camping spots. Boat watching. People watching. Park ranger lectures. Wonderful.

We just stopped to take a picture and the very rude park ranger was there and said if we didn't pay $10 we would be fined $100 dollars...it wasn't like we were camping or having a picnic at the park, just took a picture! we have done this at other parks and the rangers always have been nice, but not this jerk!! Mr high and mighty is going to keep people from visiting state parks with his attitude!

This is a great hiking area if you enjoy views.
To me it is a great area for taking walks.
also i would not reccomend boating under it because of the whirlpools. Anyways,i would highly reccomend it.
