Lighthouse park has a great combination of things to do, and the views are amazing. The beach is rocky, but a lot of fun. The play structure is nice, though I do wish it had a slide. We love to come down to lighthouse park and make a day of it with some play, a ferry ride, and lunch. There is no food for sale at the beach, but you can easily walk over to Ivar's or Diamond Knot for some ice cream, coffee, or a full meal. The summer is fun, with low tide beach days and the farmer's market. We visit during winter as well. It can get pretty cold and windy down here any time of year, so always bring a jacket.
