Owner description: Located approximately 25 miles north of Seattle, The Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour is the only public tour of a commercial jet assembly plant in North America. Explore the interactive exhibits and displays in our 28,000-square-foot Aviation Center Gallery; then take a 90-minute tour of the Boeing plant where you can watch 747s, 777s, or 787 Dreamliners being assembled right before your eyes. There is a minimum height requirement of 4 feet (122 cm) for children participating in the Boeing Tour. To avoid disappointment please make sure to check height before purchasing tickets. This restriction is strictly enforced. ADA accessible tours are offered twice daily. Call in advance to ensure proper accommodations. In the Future of Flight Aviation Center Gallery, the Family Zone is home to a number of different activities, all designed around a theme of aircraft manufacturing and assembly. Activity carts let visitors build a simple aircraft model, or use our Lego (and Lego-compatible) pieces to express new ideas about aircraft design. A kid-sized airport and aircraft allow future pilots of all ages to practice their take-offs and landings. Currently, the Family Zone is also home to a highly engaging, hands-on nanotechnology exhibit, and a Bernoulli Table, an exciting interactive experience that teaches the relationship between the velocity of air and the pressure it exerts. Coloring and reading activities are also available, and drop-ins are welcome. Admission is free for ticket holders and for Institute of Flight members.

“Aviation museum not to be missed”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

For aviation geeks, this is a must. The Boeing tour also starts here. And, there is a Boeing Company store which is open to museum visitors.

“A highlight of our trip”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

We travelled from New Zealand to do this tour and it was well worth it! Husband is a Heli pilot and our 5yr old son is quite the skid-biter... my 75 yr old Dad and I weren't as enthusiastic but quickly changed our minds once we got there.
The Tour was great! Our son was just tall enough, thank goodness- we had been doing measurements weekly prior to our departure to be sure.
A very informative tour, fantastic to see the planes on the production line, in the paint shop and outside the hangers.
The display on lower level before you start the tour is great, let your kids create their own t-shirts as you go through as I thought we would go back to it but ran out of time so my son still gives me a hard time about missing out on his tshirt.
The souvineer shop is fantastic, something for everyone!

“For Everyone Not Just Aviation Fans”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Took a friend of mine who is not an aviation buff and he had a great experience. It is fascinating to see how Boeing builds jumbo jets and the new 787. The sheer size of everything is overwhelming. Our tour guide, Mary, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Made it worth the trip.

One disappointment: Boeing does not allow photos and they do not have any available for sale in the gift shop.

“Must see if youre an Aviation Fan”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

How could anyone that loves to fly not want to see where the birds are born. The Everett location is mammoth. Our tour guide was great - very knowledgeable and passionate about aviation. Seeing the 777, 767, 747 and the brand new 787 in various stages of assembly was a thrill.
One word of caution - NO PICTURES. You have to leave your cameras and your phones in lockers at the facility.
Upper Deck - make sure that you take in the upper deck patio with great views of the runway and tarmac at co-located Paine Field.
