Owner description: Located approximately 25 miles north of Seattle, The Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour is the only public tour of a commercial jet assembly plant in North America. Explore the interactive exhibits and displays in our 28,000-square-foot Aviation Center Gallery; then take a 90-minute tour of the Boeing plant where you can watch 747s, 777s, or 787 Dreamliners being assembled right before your eyes. There is a minimum height requirement of 4 feet (122 cm) for children participating in the Boeing Tour. To avoid disappointment please make sure to check height before purchasing tickets. This restriction is strictly enforced. ADA accessible tours are offered twice daily. Call in advance to ensure proper accommodations. In the Future of Flight Aviation Center Gallery, the Family Zone is home to a number of different activities, all designed around a theme of aircraft manufacturing and assembly. Activity carts let visitors build a simple aircraft model, or use our Lego (and Lego-compatible) pieces to express new ideas about aircraft design. A kid-sized airport and aircraft allow future pilots of all ages to practice their take-offs and landings. Currently, the Family Zone is also home to a highly engaging, hands-on nanotechnology exhibit, and a Bernoulli Table, an exciting interactive experience that teaches the relationship between the velocity of air and the pressure it exerts. Coloring and reading activities are also available, and drop-ins are welcome. Admission is free for ticket holders and for Institute of Flight members.

We passed through Everett on our last vacation and signed up for the tour on the spur of the moment. I've done most of the tourist things in the Seattle area, and I'd recommend this as much as any of them.

If you fly at all this will interest you. If you are interested in planes its the coolest. Its amazing to see so many brand new planes in one place, and to see how they are assembled. There is also some good history of Boeing and its related companies.

Really an amazing place. There is literally nothing else like this factory any place else on earth. Well worth the short drive up from Seattle.

The Boeing Aircraft Factory Tour, given by Boeing was wonderful. We took a tour bus from Seattle and I would not recommend that. If you can go on your own, either by car, taxi or public transportation (bus?), then I highly recommend it. The only thing the tour guide from Seattle did, was bring us there, pay our entry fee and then take us back to Seattle. We did not have enough time to tour the part of the factory (downstairs in the building where the gift shop is) that is open for anyone to walk around on your own -- the only place where you can take pictures, in fact. So definitely try and go here on your own.

Having read James K's review, I concur wholeheartedly. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and since it is not a workday there is very little going on in the factory itself. While interesting, it was a little costly at $20 per person for what we were able to see, although our tour guide was very informative.

nice tour of the whopping facilities in Everett, the guide was pretty good ( Geoff perhaps) kept us informed and cracked some good jokes along the way,

was good to just stand in the factories and look at the goings on inside, like an elaborate ants nest, with levels everywhere,it's still hard when your there to appreciate the scale of it,

If your love aviation, especially the Boeing planes, then this is a must see on any trip to the Seattle area. Book in advance to avoid the crowds and be prepared to walk. You will not get to see inside any actual aircraft, but seeing the new 747-800, 777, 767, and the even newer 787's being built is a real treat.
