We'd read that it was run down, but the current managers have done a great job of cleaning it up. Yes, it was a little funky (or 'rustic'), but sweet, charming, cozy, quiet, and comfortable-- and close to the beach. We really liked it. The managers also went out of their way to be helpful.
Our only complaint was that the smell of Lysol hit us pretty hard when we first walked in-- we had to air the place down for half an hour, and wipe down some surfaces with a wet washcloth. Maybe they could use something else, perhaps a deodorized organic cleaning product, or a final water rinse.
