We were looking for something 'close to home', so we picked a local Thai restaurant in an area full of outstanding Thai restaurants. We were excited after the appetizer arrived, Crying Tiger. It was perfect. Rare beef, loads of red onion, basil, mint and very nicely spiced. However, the other dishes were not so fine. The Phad Thai, which should be a Thai restaurant staple, was vinegary and tasted of sweet ketchup. The Panang Beef was in a very thin, weak flavored sauce with beef that was a little tough. All in all, it was disappointing.
