Owner description: A replica of the original Stonehenge in England.

This is a nice chance to get off the freeway and stretch your legs , enjoying the view of the Columbia River below . The replica of Stonehenge gives people like me who will never see the original an idea of what it looked like when it was first erected . It also pays tribute to the fallen veterans of the county .
The Stonehenge is only about 5 minutes off the freeway and well worth the trip across the river . On clear days you get a fabulous view looking past the vineyards to the river and if you are lucky , Mt Hood .

Many people have no idea this place exists. A hidden gem. It is an exact replica of Stonehedge. Sam Hill had a vision and made it happen. Incredible view overlooking the gorge and with the snow capped Mt Adam in the background. Take some interesting photos between the pillars.

If you are on your way through here, you have to go see this! This is an exact replica of Stonehenge before deterioration. It is really neat to read all of the historical things about the area and WW1. Also, if you take a little hike downhill you can see Samuel Hill's grave site. It's all very cool if you're into that kind of thing.

This place has a great view. It's a monument so no fee to check it out.
We were there on Saturday before we went to the wineries. It was extremely windy.

For those who can't get to the original, this replica offers you the chance to see what it would look if it had been made of concrete and if litter were not picked up regularly. This was built by Sam Hill as a WWI memorial. It also serves as a resource for local Druids who don't have airfare to England. Worth seeing once, at least.
