We stayed here three nights while hiking in the beautiful North Cascades wilderness. Buffalo Run Inn and Restaurant both far surpassed our expectations. The room and bath were spotlessly clean and newly remodeled, comfortable, and had plenty of pillows. The continental breakfast refrigerator was generously stocked with hard-boiled eggs, French toast, a variety of breads, pastries, jelly, juice, milk, applesauce, and yogurt. Coffee and tea supplied too. The Buffalo Run Restaurant food was fabulous after a day of hiking. The menu is a marvel: an entire section of vegetarian dishes, another section for carnivorous appetites featuring elk and bison, and (really!) homemade soups and desserts. Steelhead trout was so good I had it more than once! A hidden treasure is the beautiful outdoor patio dining area complete with an Oriental garden with walkway and benches. The proprietor and his staff gave us great advice on the best hikes and sightseeing. We look forward to our next trip to the area and our next visit to the Buffalo Run Inn and Restaurant.
