“The good and the slighly bad”
Reviewed July 16, 2011

We stayed here for more than three weeks in a studio apartment. The location is fantastic for shopping at Alderwood Mall and for access to the freeway into Seattle and North to Vancouver. The location is not good for Seattle. It is a bit out of town and traffic can be a bear.

The best thing about this place was the staff. Always ready with a small, helpful tidbits and overall friendly and very happy people.

We didn't like the food available but we are picky eaters. If you are looking for a quick meal to feed your family, Residence Inn does offer dinner/ snacks on week nights. Nachos are awful, but the burgers are okay. We did some picking/ choosing and went out or cooked ourselves a lot.

The weight room was very suitable and had free weights as well as machines. There is even a small lending library near the business center.

The only negative thing about this particular Residence Inn was the housekeeping. Really hit or miss. Sometimes it was all right and sometimes I wanted to complain, but didn't. They didn't clean up around the sinks or clean the tubs at all. The replenishment of soaps and things were all right, but not for daily coffee. Why? I just bought my own. A small thing but worth mentioning.

I would definitely stay here again. The laundry room was kept super clean and my kids used the pool. We enjoyed this hotel.

Room Tip: Great shopping nearby

We stayed one night as part of a roadtrip and were very impressed. The room was huge, clean and very comfortable, the complementary hot breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were well kept and the pool looked great (weather was cold, so we didn't use it). It's only a block away from the Alderwood mall and there's a Keg restaurant across the street. We would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay atthis hotel. It was quiet, cleana nd the front desk staff were extremely friendly. It is very close to good shopping and plenty of restaurants. The room was large and had a great kitchen. We enjoyed the fireplace and also used the free DVD player and movies provided by the hotel. It is a great home base for seeing Seattle and shopping.

Great for 2 couples with 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms and the living area with a kitchen.
We have stayed here several times and always come back if they have rooms available. They have a great breakfast...not just the dry cereal/muffin brekkie. Hot scramble eggs, sausage, potatoes, fruit, waffles with lots of toppings available etc. If you are there Monday thru Thursday they have a manager's reception in the same area breakfast is. Beer, wine and an appetizer. The appetizer was different...not my favorite but the whole atmosphere is nice. The people who work at reception are always friendly and are willing to accomodate. Only issue I had was internet kept dropping out.

Our family stayed at the Residence Inn for 2 nights in May of 2011. We booked a 2 bedroom loft suite unit. The unit is located on the 2nd floor of a "stacked townhouse" complex. The loft had a King Size bed with a half-wall surrounding the headboard and the night stands. I was a little apprehensive as my young todldler could easiler climb over the half-way from the bed and drop twenty feet down into the living room.

The loft's bathroom was strangely arranged. The countertop and sink was located next to the the top of the staircase. The toilet and tub were enclosed with a door. Trying to close the door was hard when you are inside the "bathroom" as it was quite cramped inside. Also, it has a lower ceiling of about 7 foot compare to the rest of the unit.

The first floor has a nice size kitchen with stove, fridge, dishwsher and dinette set. The 2nd bedroom with ensuite is also on the 1st floor. That bedroom contains a queen size bed.

The hotel offers complimentary wi-fi internet and free buffet breakfast. It also has coin laundry facility.

The hotel is located close to Interstate 5 which gets you to Seattle in about 30 minutes. It is about 1 minute drive from Alderwood Mall, which was gigantic.

Overall, the hotel offers good value for a comfortable stay.

I have stayed here on numerous occasions in 2010 - for both business and personal reasons. This location has nice, well-outfitted rooms, very comfortable beds, lovely furnishings, and extremely professional and friendly staff. There is a very home-like atmosphere when you check in at the lobby - it's as if you were staying with a close family friend who was going out of the way to make everything comfortable for your visit. I would recommend this location to anyone as a great place to stay.

We do have one recommendation. We have noticed that during times of heavy weather/snow in Seattle, as well as over the holidays - when these hotels are getting either mass cancellations or are not booked heavily because of holidays, this location still does not offer great room discounts in order to fill additional rooms. We have stayed a total of 10 days in the last six weeks at the Courtyard Marriott in Kirkland (on 124th) because they dropped their $159 a night rate to $89 a night ($80 with AAA card) in order to get more rooms filled. It is well worth driving another 8 miles to get that kind of discount. If the Lynnwood Residence Inn would even drop their $139 rate down to $89 a night when they have so many rooms available we would be staying there instead of in Kirkland. We do think the Kirkland Courtyard is being a lot more business saavy in this case and hope Lynnwood will figure that out as well.

I wasn't expecting a whole lot when our original hotel overbooked us and sent us to another location. We wound up here and I was quite impressed with my accommodations. The place felt so much like home, I half expected there to be a stocked pantry. Breakfast the next morning actually tasted good and when the lobby seating was full the staff opened up a confrence room for us without us even asking. We had a short drive to the Boeing plant in Everett which made the trip quite easy.
